Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We followed parts of the Golden Quest Discovery Trail. We discovered hidden stories of the Goldfields. Can thoroughly recommend using this to plan your journey.

Had a family reunion a great get away enjoyed sight seeing all the old shut down mining places. Great place to stay a few days and see what Coolgardie can give back to you.

just completed the trail and was amazed at just how harsh it is and the history of the once thriving towns north of Coolgardie. Trail was well written and easy to follow but make sure you read the book first to get information about the many old towns and the people who lived there. Great tour for those with a bit of adventure in their blood and a quest for historty

What an awesome experience! I loved every bit of the trail. From the old outback pubs to the beautiful "inside Australia" art work at Lake Ballard. I think what made it so much more enjoyable were the passionate people we met along the way and the reading up on each individual town /place. So much history in the Goldfields.

We took 2 weeks to travel the 1,000km, taking our time and camping (in a caravan) at some of the sites. A lot of dirt roads, but good quality - occasionally there were a few corrugations. The sites were well signposted, and varied from localities (with no remaining buildings) to ruins, some still working pubs (the only business in town), rural towns with history interpretation, art works, (a must to go to Lake Ballard), museums, and a group of miners cottage. The $40 for the trail book was money well spent - a lot of information, with accurate driving instructions.
