Went to have lunch here on a Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm and asked if we can sit outside we were told by a really rude waiter it was fully booked when there were empty tables outside .We were told to go and come back in 30 mins.My husband again pointed out there were empty tables available. This rude bar man said "I just told you we were booked out".Not sure if his manager would be happy hearing this guy is clearly telling customers to go away. Food is nice but really poor customer service .

I have visited the wonderful Bright Brewery on multiple occasions over the years but I fear that I shan’t be back. Nothing wrong with the beers, nothing wrong with the venue, nothing wrong with the food. But PLENTY wrong with the attitude of the staff that has really left a bad taste.
I arrived after the lunch period today and waited patiently for attention. This is obviously not a problem given the current circumstances. A couple of minutes later, a chap greeted us and took us out the back to our table. Of the 21 tables, 3 were populated, 18 were vacant of which 1 was in the sun. The other 17 were empty, clean and in the shade. I politely asked if a table in the shade was available and was abruptly told, “all the tables are booked, or being cleaned. This is it.”. This contradicted my observation. That is, the table cleaning process, was quite apparent and applied to only one of the 21 tables.
Given our previous wonderful experiences at this venue, the benefit of the doubt was given. We quickly chose our beverages of choice and waited for someone to take our order, given that bar service was not available. 5 minutes, then 10, then another 5 minutes elapsed. During which time at least 4 other groups arrived, were seated (in the shade) and their orders taken. During this time eye contact was made with our original host numerous times but quickly ignored.
Eventually, we gave up and decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else and stood up and started making our way out of the venue. This inspired action from our original host who suggested a shaded table (keeping in mind there was 17 empty tables of 21) would be available and our orders could be taken.
Too late. Blatant bad service with intent. We won’t be back and will advise friends from visiting. I’m loathe to give such a bad review, but the guy in charge today was not up to the task and should pursue a career outside the hospitality sector.

We ate here in large groups twice this past week and were very happy with quality of meals (veggie chilli bowl was delish if you like a bit of spice, barramundi was excellent and mystic pizza was fab). Prices not cheap but what you expect for this type of restaurant and location. Great location to sit indoors or outdoors, and close to park for the kids to disperse to. We sat outside at the front the second time and although cold the covered vine canopy kept the chill away. As we were multiple families we found the QR code menu ordering system so handy! No need to split bills at the end.

This fantastic craft brewpub in Bright not only highlights the extent of the regional craft brewery scene, but also shows how it can be done. A well laid out area with inside and covered outside seating with great views over the river. Friendly staff and a great selection of craft beers on taps as well as take away.

We have been to Bright Brewery before and loved the whole experience. However, last Saturday was extremely disappointing and we didn't even get to the drinks and food! On being seated we waited awhile then caught someones attention for service and were told ordering food and drinks had to be undertaken via our phones. Too bad if a phone free outing occurred! Mandatory downloading of an app via a gizmo on the table caused us to need help as it didn't seem to be working. More help was sought and when asked if we could order a drink via herself was told 'no' it had to be via phone app. Finally got that working on each of our phones and found that on the first order, payment was required before order accepted. Feeling very frustrated I again went to the counter and mentioned that one of the party was paying for the four of us so how did that work. 'He'll have to put his details in each of your phones'. Feeling uncomfortable at the privacy aspect and surprised at the convoluted procedure for trying to get a drink let alone food - we left. The food and drink may be fantastic but the forced ordering procedure leaves a lot to be desired creating stress and discomfort.

Good beer, food, helpful staff in a relaxed setting. We visited a few times during our stay and consistently good. We loved the order tap and pay system. There were some hiccups with tables being available, in these times when the whole of Melbourne has descended on them it’s good to give a bit of slack, the staff tried hard and got it right most of time. We’ll be back

Went for dinner Sunday night 8pm On a very busy weekend in Bright. We’ve going to brewery for a long time ( bar staff made the pizza on a table behind bar). Staff happy but over worked. We didn’t have a booking shown outside. There where Lots of Empty tables inside and near heaters. But we where seated at edges. ? Reason. The table ordering system kept telling us things not available. Went to bar. Food was available. Food was delicious. But outside late April it was cold And the tables inside still empty at 9.30 when we left. Tables had been empty the entire time we were there

Great craft beers to try and we had the hero share plate which was delicious. Fun place to take 18/19year olds as cool place and fairly casual setting. Fairly quick food service and drinks super quick. Beer definitely worth a try. Sour beer was a hit.
Lost a star for slightly ordinary service. Booking time was messed up even though I booked online and online ordering said tasting beer option was unavailable yet the table next door was able to get one. Still recommend this place for sure.

Unfortunately went on a day when there was a function booked. Weren’t allowed to sit down for a beer because the function was starting in an hour so were forced to get some take away cans.
Only one person serving behind the bar so took ages to be served even though there were 10 staff faffing about.
Beers are good but wouldn’t visit again.

Walked in did my QR code.
By the time someone served me, the rude waiter asked if I had checked in. I said yes. The rude waiter then said I would like to see the tick that you checked in.
I said I will check in again for you.
Had to d see how my id as I am regional. No problems. Then was escorted to my seat. Indicated that I sit behind a small child, less than 12 inches away. I chose the other side of the table. Was only there for a drink. No… won’t be going there again. Unless you check in when the waiter sees you do it, might as well wait. They don’t believe you. I thought they needed customers.
