Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great little 5 min drive out of town to get amazing views over Ararat and over to the Grampians. Little look out shelter on top in case its raining. Only down side was someone has stupidly popped a big confetti cracker up there and there was shiny confetti bits everywhere. Shame some have no respect for keeping Australia clean. Did my bit and picked up about 50 pieces to bin.

Beautiful drive up to the top with sensational views. Parking. Picnic table. Bin and shelter. Would be superb on a clear day. It was so windy for us. Would’ve loved to have stayed longer. Great photo stop

Its a steep climb up when you are pulling a camper but plenty of room to turn round at the top. It was a windy overcast day but still worth it. You can just sit in your car and look out. A couple of picnic tables and a concrete pagoda is all that is at the top, but what you are here for is the unobstructed view of the hills in the distance. Around the pagoda are some markers indicating places and their distance. Thinking sunsets from here would be incredible, but places to be, so we move on.

came around lunch time and the view was magnificent. it was clear sky and you see the landscape clearly. to the west is the Grampians National Park, while Mount Langi Ghiran dominates the eastern skyline.

Wow. Steep, windy drive and worth the effort. Views are superb. Can see over the township. No one else here.

We’ve driven through Ararat what seems like hundreds of times and visited this rural town on our ‘Wacky Wednesdays’, but this is the first time we’ve gone up to One Tree Hill Lookout. WOW! What incredible views. We never tire of the Grampians and so we were fascinated by yet another perspective of this divine range. Also, after visiting the Chinese museum it was fascinating to compare the landscape from the digging times to now.

Excellent place for a 360 degree view, great for a picnic, can be a little on the windy side but otherwise excellent.
