Aradale mental hospital, what a place. Soo much history and the shear size of the site is just unheard of. Being a paranormal investigator for 10 years this was a must for me... read more

Aradale is amazing so much history and grandeur the guide however distracted from what could be such an informative and bigger experience . The theatrics are a bit over the top with the yelling and screaming and telling stories of other tour guides and past group "paranormal" experiences. Maybe more focus on actual people who were committed to the asylum... More

Great experience , hubby and i enjoyed it . The tour guide was great giving you the opportunity to wear a straight jacket or lie down on the trolley in the morgue and get pushed in to the fridge. I attempted the morgue and it was quite thrilling being locked inside. Both tour guides by the name of john were... More

Aradale mental hospital, what a place. Soo much history and the shear size of the site is just unheard of. Being a paranormal investigator for 10 years this was a must for me. Even if I did have to travel from tasmania. My first time to the site was early October 2013 for a paranormal sleepover tour. The tour was... More

Being a bit sceptical about ghosts and spooks we wouldn't normally go to a place like this but we were given the tours as gifts, We arrived at Ararat's Aradaile asylum a very impressive and some what imposing building, and were greeted by a gentleman dressed in spooky garb who was our guide for the evening, if you believe or... We went on the 9pm tour as a fundraiser for our local Pre School, all adults of course, and what a fantastic night. Anastasia was our guide and she was fantastic, what a great character she played! There were plenty of scares and plenty of information on the old building, an all round great night. Booking staff were fantastic also,... More

Went on the 9pm ghost tour last week. I wouldn't say it was scary exactly, more creepy than anything. Our guide "Hex" was amazing, knew his stuff and acted the part. The tour is all about when the asylum was open and how the inmates were treated, very interesting and horrifying at the same time. You don't get to see... More

My friend and I were the only ones on this 9pm Ghost tour and it was brilliant. This enabled Mr Keating - our tour guide who still maintained his theatrics - to be a little more relaxed and there was plenty of time for questions and getting disorientated by the enormity of the sameness of all the dark halls and... We did the paranormal investigation, only 10 people on our tour starting at 9pm. Guide was quite good, we had some "activity" picked up on emf detectors but I'm still not really convinced. It was interesting hearing about the history and having a look around not scary though. And I got in the fridge in the morgue. Would of liked... More

A MUST! We did the paranormal tour and LOVED it. There was only 6 of us so it was perfect. I am quite in tune with all things like this but ignore it. But being an MRN and working at Kew Cottages and Janefeild I know how the real inside of institutions run so talking to the clients who had... More

Look the tour guide, is very dracula's theatre- trying to scar you with this stories, character & doing silly things - like hiding in a cupboard - for me that wasn't the greatest, it was less scary than anything else. But my god the building were amazing - the grounds are so large. And the amount of history - it... More
