Was given a good 2 hours tour of a prison facility that demonstrated the medical understanding of mental illness of the time - frightening. Combined with the tour of the Aradale mental hospital a great day.

The grounds and buildings are very clean, neat and tidy. The tour is very interesting. There are story boards around the tour and ample opportunity to take photos. Well worth it.

Hey Ozee, They are about 10m drive from one another. You should allow about 1-2 hrs for J Ward and 3-4 hours for Aradale. you can get tickets from the Information Center in town and they will provide a map.
