Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited for a tasting and Tom looked after our group. The wines were exceptional! I was really impressed with the Rose and the Marssane was a lovely fresh revelation. The grenache blew me away, Tom explained the history and wine making with great aplomb, while pointing out the Jimmy Watson trophie!!!!
Great times definitely worth a visit😋🍷

I’ve been buying wines from Turkey Flat for years and they never disappoint. The Rose is, in my opinion, consistently one of Australia’s finest and very affordable at $25 bottle. The Grenache and Shiraz are always exceptional and the Butchers Block GSM blend at $25 from the bottle shop is always a go to if I get stuck. The highlight (and surprise) from the tasting on this visit was the 2019 White (Rousanne and Mousanne blend). Outstanding!

We happened upon Turkey Flat Vineyards when we booked accommodation on the same road. We felt like we’d discovered treasure when we walked down to the gorgeous cellar door area.
The wines and other drinks on offer were offered with gracious hospitality by the knowledgeable James who knew loads of history of the area as well as about the wines. Thanks James you made our day.

We tried to do the right thing and book ahead, as a result of our courtesy we had to pay a $10 fee which was unredeemable. However, if we hadn't booked, our fee would have been redeemable. The staff were frosty and the pours were tiny. The worst cellar door experience I have had in the Barossa.
When I spoke to the winery in order to voice my displeasure, rather than post a review I was basically told that it took up too much 'time and energy'. We went to 13 other cellar doors go to one of them.

Smaller tasting room, ok. Tasting was 10 dollars for 4 wines, which we paid. Minuscule pours and no information. As this was our first paid flight in the Barossa, in retrospect it represents poor value for wines that are average.

Dropped in on the off chance of some wine tasting as was passing through Tanunda. So glad we dropped by. We had a 1 year old with us and so wanted somewhere for wine tasting, light food and an area where my 1 year old grandson could practice his new-found walking skills. This 'cellar door' was located next to the vineyards and had a large outside grassed area perfect for tiny feet to practice walking/tumbling. We arrived late morning just after opening and this was just right for us as there were fewer people. Enjoyed the opportunity to taste a few quality wines and a food platter consisting of cheese, meats, breads and accompaniments (perfect for little mouths too). We were made to feel really welcome and staff made a fuss of the little one (which he loved 😍) the wines, food and venue were all what I'd describe as quality. Just returned to England where I'll look forward to drinking the bottle of Barossa Valley White (2010 Marsanne. Roussane. Viogner) which I'd tasted at the winery and, thankfully, survived the 3 intercontental flights home. The Rose is a wine to taste also and I so wished I'd brought a bottle home with me too. Thank you Turkey Flat for a lovely experience for myself, my daughter and my gorgeous grandson.

What an experience, 11/10. My partner and I have been to quite a few wine tastings in McLaren Vale and the Barossa and this is an absolute standout. The young lady here serving us (sorry I forgot her name) was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine, the wines were delicious and the grounds warm and inviting. I encourage you to put Turkey Flat on your list if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Beautiful, quiet spot for a tasting. We sat in the lawn area with our dog and the wine was bought out to us one by one. Each wine was described to us and then we were left to drink it and relax. This was a great way to do a tasting and the surroundings were very tranquil. Great wines too and a good range for all palates.

Great family experience: wonderful service from Kristie, lovely selection of wines, plus a few extra "shlucks'. Easy, relaxed afternoon around an outdoor table set in a grassy area where the kids could run around & entertain themselves. Plus we had 2 Collie dogs that were most welcome. A complete experience made special by Kristie.

My friends and I had such a lovely experience at Turkey Flat. Even though we were a big group they accommodated us and went into a lot of detail on the tasting. Natalie made our day! The wines were beautiful and the setting is lovely. I would highly recommend.
