Built in the late 1880s, the Bavarian-style Château Tanunda is home to some of the earliest plantings of vines in the Barossa Valley, dating back to the 1840s. A refurbished cellar door is due to open in a few weeks.

Cellar door staff were rude and dismissive. Did not stay long as cold and damp. Building looks amazing but very limited access to see any of it.

Beautiful historic building in the Barossa Valley that produces over 25 wines. The grounds are amazing with the big tower as a feature. The staff were friendly & attentive with trying their reds. We bought a couple of bottles to add to our growing collection.

Called in for a quick wine tasting, the site and building is absolutely amazing and not to be missed, the staff at the cellar door were lovely and really knew the local wine country well, thank you for a great stop over.

Free wine tasting and had a range of wines from quite affordable to outside our price range. They also had bin specials that were very good value. Friendly staff and impressive building and grounds.

I didn't go there then, but most of the wineries in that area were open on Good Friday.
