Langmeil is a winner.

A great experience, we did a FREE wine tasting here and staff took us through their range of red, white, desert and sparkling wines. So pleasant, well informed and unpressured, we felt very comfortable here.

The cellar door was classy with some well informed staff, a very nice atmosphere.

The wine is very good, we felt comfortable and did enjoy the experience.

I will be returning to Langmeil Winery.

Must do winery tour
May 2021 • Friends
Our car club had a weekend away in the Barossa, and if you only do one winery tour while you’re there then you must do this one!! Johnathon was amazing and so knowledgeable. I’ve done a few winery tours and Wow this was amazing. I learnt things that I hadn’t heard before. He kept the whole group enthralled with what he was saying, and to top it all off, he organised a special tasting in the Barrel room. We will definitely be recommending this tour, it was fantastic

Free tastings in a beautiful old building
Jul. 2021 • Family
Langmeil was one cellar door we almost didn’t visit. But a late change of plans worked in our favour.

This winery is set among beautiful old stone buildings. After paying up to $40 for tastings elsewhere we were surprised and delighted to find that tasting here are free!

Better yet, we lucked upon two terrific and informative cellar door staff. They gave an overview of each wine without being pushy. But they were also chatty with groups who wanted to engage. In our case they gave some good dining recommendations.

On the day of our visit they happened to have two of their premium wines available for tasting (also free).

Their mid tier and widely available wines like “Blacksmith” and “Valley Floor” are reliable, consistent and will suit many occasions and meals. But the Fifth Wave Grenache was a standout. Easily the best Grenache we tasted in the Barossa.

There was no hard sell at the end of the tasting, just well wishes for a safe onward journey.

If you’re visiting with kids, be sure to check out the well near the car park - this indicates the level of the water table below the Barossa.

Clean toilets were a major bonus.

Cellar door tasting like they used to be. Highly recommended.

Fabulous
May 2021
As part of a WA based wine club 8 of us finally managed to make it to a week in the Barossa. Langmiel was one of our highlights.
Our delightful hosts expertly guided us through the history and process of their beautiful wines.
The grounds and out buildings are lovingly preserved and a walk through the vineyards provides ample photographic opportunity. Definitely recommend a visit.

Beautifully presented winery with free tasting of a reasonable range of wines. We had a friendly and knowledgeable hostess. The wines weren't bad and we picked up a couple of bottles that we liked. Worth a visit.

Wine Tasting - History
Dec. 2020 • Family
We had arrived at this winery with a tour guide.
We found it to be average, nothing with much variety.
But great history and things to see around this village from the 1800's.
Enjoyed it. Don't think I would return though. Nothing too exciting

Thank you for taking the time to review. All our wines are proudly Barossa grown and with 19 wines on show we represent the varieties that grow well in the Barossa :).
