About
Soul Growers stands for everything that is great about the Barossa; shared wisdom, new ideas, mate-ship and a passion for making and enjoying great wine. It was born out of a friendship of four dedicated souls who saw the opportunity to join forces and chase their dream of creating wines and a brand that reflected their view of the Barossa. Paul, Tom, Leigh and Stu had worked together previously in a corporate world but were convinced that their future would one day be an uncomplicated, hand made and lovingly nurtured winemaking enterprise, that revolved around the very core of the Barossa Valley – the growers – who toil each day to produce beautiful fruit, just waiting to be made into wine. We see the grape growers of the Barossa Valley as being the very soul of the region, hence our brand. Our goal is to let the vineyards we work with show through in our wines. Where nature provides, we only guide. With this in mind we strive to make sure Soul Growers wines emphasise the regional and varietal flavors of our beloved Barossa Valley. The essence of what we strive for is to ensure a lifestyle that is good for the Soul; wine, food, family, music, mates and fun

Andy from Experience SA Tours allowed us to tag along to a wine tasting at Soul Growers as we missed our chance the day before due to Chinese New Year celebrations!
Sorellabella was a very knowledgeable host and gave us loads of history that we hadn’t heard on previous wine tastings. Made for a very informative wine tasting.
Wine tasting itself was very generous and we were even able to try things that weren’t on the agenda.
We loved her humility at the selling point of the session and joined on the spot. We are from Sydney, so already have a couple of membership with Hunter Valley vineyards, but we were so impressed with our visit.
Couldn’t recommend more!

We did 10 winery tastings over a few days and this was our favourite. Sorrel was fab, entertaining, passionate, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. It’s a small company with all staff playing an important part. The wine was among, if not the best we tasted.

The endearing Sorrel was our wine connoisseur. We hadn’t heard of Soul Growers before but it was recommended to us for a visit Sorrel was funny, knowledgeable (naturally) & gave us a good insight into what SoulGrowers is all about. Make sure to book ahead as they don’t take walk in’s.

Soul Growers is a hidden gem in the main street of Tanunda. We spent several hours at the cellar door enjoying wonderfully delicious wines and learning from the delightful and earthy Sorrel. Can't recommend this experience highly enough. And Sorrel has knowledge in abundance of her wines, the Barossa and wine making. Be prepared though...it's hard to find the cellar door (adjacent to the OTR on Murray St Tanunda). You have to book. Don't miss out - this is one of the Barossa's best wine experiences.

We visited soul growers on a boutique wine tour with Lee and Judy. The heart and soul of this place sells it just as much as the wine does. We left loving the Barossa and their wines and learning so much about the area. And very happy to say we signed up for their wine club. Stu was lovely and full of character, you can just tell how much love and car he has for the wines he makes. The team was just great. And willow the dog was definitely my favourite. Great job guys

Soul Growers produce the wines from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Chardonnay for white wines. These are the most important varieties but they use less popular Mataro (Mourvèdre). You can combine tasting and excursion around the winery. Tom told us about the technology of winemaking. It was very interesting.

Came here with Lee and his son from Barossa Boutique Wine Tours. The wines, from white to red were amazing and the tour out the back and the barrel tastings awesome. Such passion from the guys from Soul Growers reflect in their wines. Definitely will be back👍🏿

Tom and Stu shared their passion and knowledge of wine making. Our group of 4 from WA had a fun and insightful afternoon enjoying their wines and banter. Keep up the good work. Good luck for the future.

What a cellar door what a winery.
We got here as part of a tour, we found great wines, we loved the rose and the GSM blend and the whole experience was top in everything, meeting the winemakers, tasting from barrels, not your everyday cellar door, a special one.
Leigh was our winemaker/ cellar door contact a passionate man which made this place a top experience of our staying in the region.
Will definitely recommend and we'll be back when in the region.

We visited Soul Growers recently and this place should be on most people’s lists of cellar doors to visit. You will struggle to find a bunch of blokes more accomodating and willing to show you now just their wines, but the winery and wines out of the barrel. Leigh is a great host and makes that extra effort. Stu the winemaker is a character and very passionate about the Barossa, it’s history and the background to the vineyards they make their wine from. They make some cracking reds that you can’t get out of your mind. It was interesting hearing the history of some of the growers and vineyards like the old 106 vines Mourvèdre. As Stu said you cannot buy history like this wine. Well actually you can for $110 and it is worth every cent.
