Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arrived late in the afternoon and there were a handful of people around. Wandered down to the Obelisk. Due to cliff instability, it has been protected by scaffold fencing. You can still take in the birdlife chirping away and the ocean crashing into the coastline. A nice easy walk.

This is one of the “when in Robe” must do’s. Iconic landscape for photographers of all levels. Stick to the tracks as there are many cliffs.

It is possible to access the obelisk as the authorities have fenced it off.
The closest one can get to it is about 100 metres.

Robe has this gem. Full of people with cameras. Lenses do no justice to gorgeous scenery. Car par should be further away from the coast.

Fenced off for safety reasons but still impressive. Some nice walks around the headline and fantastic sunsets.

Beautiful walk from the Chinese gate to the Obelisk and to old Gaol ruins. In our road trip to Tanunda this brief visit via Robe this was worthwhile.

A magnificent view from the obelisk. An interesting history and a lovely walk around the headland. The cliffs and rock formations are outstanding.

It is worth a drive to the old gaol (just its foundations are left) and then a walk to Cape Dombey Obelisk.
it is windy but that is part of the fun, I am sure.
Only takes 1 hour to do both.
