Although my partner and I ride at different levels the standard bike plus e-bike option worked very well. Barossa Bike hire have several pick up points around the Barossa and for us the staff at Barossa visitor centre in Tanunda were awesome.
The bikes served us very well and advice and back up (not needed but there) gave us the confidence to just think about our holiday in the Barossa. The bike pathways keep you off the roads for most of the busy traffic areas including between Angaston, Nuriootpa, Tanunda, Lyndoch and Gawler.
The saddle bags on the e-bike work very well transporting everything especially purchases along the way.
Highly recommend hiring bikes (& doing so with Barossa bike hire) to get around the valley. Mostly flat and plenty of wineries or other tourist attractions to check out for a rest along the way.
We had 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed each day.

The Barista Brewer Wine Cycle Tour has been one of the highlights of our two week holiday in South Australia. After starting the day at Louis’ bike shop where our bikes were all set up and ready to go, we stopped off for a coffee nearby before getting underway on the Barossa Wine Trail bike paths. We had a wonderful day riding through the Barossa while learning some of the history of the region and enjoying some great wines from three separate cellar doors. Our guide, Graydon, was a wealth of knowledge and very passionate about the history of the region and the wineries. We had the tour all to ourselves, and were lucky to be the only ones at most of the cellar doors. The day ended with a beer at a brewery showcasing many of the local SA craft beers. Highly recommend this tour!

The Best Bike Rental Ever!
Rent your bike here. We have rented bikes around the world - these were the best. Bikes are in fabulous condition - rental includes a helmet and panier and local cycle map so no need to cycle with a back pack.
Louis had our bikes out and ready for our arrival. He has a great knowledge of the area to help plan your day. We did a selfguided day - stopping at many vineyards. It was a perfect.

Great little business. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Went in with no other plans than to simply hire a bike and go for a ride. We were provided with a map and some great suggestions for self guided rides around the area. Bikes we hired were modern and well maintained. Would not hesitate to come bake here when we come back in the future.

We hired electric bikes for the day. We had such a great day riding the Barossa Trail. The bike looked brand new. The fellow who owns business was so helpful and very thorough with instructions and maps. Best tip was to look out for the sharp corners on downhill sections. The scenery was spectacular being on the bikes. It was so good to stop at the sites and bakery on the trail. So worth the money to paid for electric bike. Made the 40km ride easy. Saddle bags add bonus to carry our purchases along the way.

Louis gave tips on which wineries to visit, nailed it. Smaller wineries with great experiences. Bikes were new and perfectly maintained. A fantastic way to explore the Barossa.

Louis dropped our bikes to us at our accomodation in Tanunda. He ensured we were comfortable using the e bikes and had everything we would need for our adventure. The bikes were effortless to ride and we highly recommend them as a fabulous way to explore the Barossa. Louis was extremely friendly and accommodating. Definitely a 5 star.

Barista, Brewer, Wine Cycle Tour
I would recommend highly this day tour. Electric bikes were fantastic and make bike touring so much easier. Top end electric bikes provided so well worth what you pay for the use of these bikes.
Louis & Leanne were both very pleasant and Louis a well of local information. Both wineries we visited were fantastic and welcoming and the service provided by Leanne to collect any wines we bought on the day saved us time in returning to collect or freight.

Electric bikes for a couples day out was a great idea to tour part of the Barossa at a slower pace. You could even smell the casks/wine vapours as we rode past some of the wineries (you miss it in a car!). The bikes were cheerfully & promptly delivered by 9am to our accomodation, with clear brief explanation of how to use & a map. We cycled along Seppeltsfield Rd & into Seppelts & Vasse Virgin, then round to Greenock. After lunch back at our accommodation, we headed to Angaston for the afternoon. At $140 each for 9-5 hire, it seemed a tad expensive, but after the great experience, I thoroughly recommend you consider treating yourself, especially if you've never tried it before. So great to get an electric boost at different power levels, on inclines & the flat! Certainly very good brand bikes, easy to use. Also good for those in your party who aren't seasoned riders to keep up with fitter riders on "normal" bikes.

We hired a bike for the whole family for one day. We did book the bikes from the hotel we stayed at and we got the bikes delivered to our hotel. We also got good guideline form the guy who delivered the bikes to us. The bike track is easy, but on the way they could have better signs on the way. You have to pick out places before you start your trip otherwise it is possible to miss the places you want to visit. The service was really good and also the bikes.
