Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Barista, Brewer, Wine Cycle Tour
I would recommend highly this day tour. Electric bikes were fantastic and make bike touring so much easier. Top end electric bikes provided so well worth what you pay for the use of these bikes.
Louis & Leanne were both very pleasant and Louis a well of local information. Both wineries we visited were fantastic and welcoming and the service provided by Leanne to collect any wines we bought on the day saved us time in returning to collect or freight.

We hired a bike for the whole family for one day. We did book the bikes from the hotel we stayed at and we got the bikes delivered to our hotel. We also got good guideline form the guy who delivered the bikes to us. The bike track is easy, but on the way they could have better signs on the way. You have to pick out places before you start your trip otherwise it is possible to miss the places you want to visit. The service was really good and also the bikes.

Great little business. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Went in with no other plans than to simply hire a bike and go for a ride. We were provided with a map and some great suggestions for self guided rides around the area. Bikes we hired were modern and well maintained. Would not hesitate to come bake here when we come back in the future.

The track looks great and looks like a lovely way to see the sites of the Barossa. We were booked to have electric bikes delivered to us on December 20th 2019. Unfortunately, that day had a catastrophic fire warning for the area. In the days leading up to this, authorities were on the media highlighting the need to reconsider travel and stay in safe places, with many fires in already happening around areas in SA. We called Barossa Bike hire a couple of days prior as we were not feeling safe to ride bikes away from our accommodation with the risk of a fire breaking out and putting us in an unsafe position. Unfortunately there is a no refund policy in the week prior to hire. This is just something for others to consider when hiring bikes, particularly if you are hiring a large amount of bikes, or the electric ones like we did as this can be costly including delivery charges which were not refunded. So we were out of pocket quite a lot of money. We unfortunately had to fly out the next day and live interstate so were unable to change it to another date. Although a partial refund was mentioned on the phone when we called, the email following did not give that as an option. So it might just be worth keeping an eye on conditions before booking in advance.

Hi Georgina and we are very sorry to hear you were not happy with your recent booking experience.
Our online booking system requires customers to read and accept our Hire Terms & Conditions which clearly state our Refunds & Cancellations Policy. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to refund bookings due to events which are outside our control, ie the weather and there were other customers who still went ahead with their booking on that day.
We were also keeping up-to-date with the fire situation via the relevant authorities, television and radio coverage and there were no fires in the Barossa area.
As per our E-mail, we are more than happy to leave your booking open for a further twelve months from the date of hire, which can be used by either yourselves (or other family members or friends).
We sincerely hope you will be able to visit the beautiful Barossa again one day and have the opportunity to enjoy it on our E-bikes as it is often the highlight of our customers trips .... cheers Louis & Leanne

Wow! My husband and I hired the brand new Kalkhoff electric bikes and managed to cover 45km. The Barossa has a wonderful dedicated bike trail, much of it away from the roads and meandering through vineyards and bushland. There are some steep hills around Jacobs Creek and there is no way we could have covered this distance without the aid of power. With these bikes you can cycle up a very steep incline and it feels like you are on a flat section. It was so much fun and a brilliant way to explore the region. Louis was great, friendly, welcoming and so passionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommend these bikes to anyone that wants a bit of an adventure and isn't super cycle fit. Thank you Louis for the highlight of our trip.

Louie at Barossa Bike Hire hired us a fantastic tandem bike during our Barossa trip. The bike was of the highest quality, and worked like a dream - the multiple gears worked perfectly (not always the way on a tandem), the seats easy to adjust, and the bike has been well cared for and looked after with pride, PLUS the price for a 24 hour hire was brilliant value.
Louie was so gracious and friendly; he provided us with great suggestions for wineries and routes, and he took the time to make sure we felt welcome in the area, and comfortable with the bike and our plans. He's a great guy whose passion for bikes translates into all his business, which in turn gave us a fantastic couple of days touring the Barossa on a lovely and smooth tandem.
We cannot recommend highly enough. FANTASTIC SERVICE, GREAT VALUE.

We had a brilliant day in the Barossa thanks to Barossa Bike Hire. We chose the package which included bikes and the picnic hamper. The food was excellent - a real taste of the Barossa and it all came neatly packed in a cooler bag that we could keep. This proved to be very handy as it provided space to hold our bottles of wine to take home on the plane - perfect hand luggage! The service was excellent and our bikes were dropped off at our hotel and collected at the end of the day. Maps and brochures were provided so that we had a good idea of what was in the area. It was so nice to see an organisation that was so passionate about its region and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time there. Great!

Thanks for taking the time to review us MillyS919 we appreciate everyone's busy these days. I'm so glad you liked my hamper of Barossa deliciousness coupled with our bikes I delivered to you, it's lovely with Barossa's beautiful weather too. A wine cooler bag after a yummy picnic is certainly handy when riding between cellar doors. Thanks for your review again and we look forward to seeing you again some time in the Barossa. Cheers, Karen & Louis.

Our party of 4 hired bikes from Karen and Louis in April and had a fantastic time riding up to Angaston from Tanunda. The scenery, the bike track and the wineries make it a top spot. The service, bikes and friendliness from Karen and Louis made it even better. Highly recommended!!
