Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its was a great beach to walk on with the family, to just in enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waves. There was picture rest views where in every direction. It would be great to walk at sunset if you got the chance that’s our plan next time.

Visited on Tuesday 3rd March. We made a brief stop here to check out the beach. Well worth stopping to have a look at.

Stayed in The Dolphins, a fantastic two storey house overlooking the beach next to Simms Cove at Moonta Bay. If you want a totally relaxing time for a few days this is the place.

The best way to view Simms Cove is from the lookout known as Simms Cove Lookout. It is accessible by Simms Cove Rd off of Coast Rd. Car Park available although not very large.
The lookout enables a view of both the Moonta Bay Jetty and also Port Hughes Jetty whilst looking west out over Spencer Gulf towards Eyre Peninsula. The long stretches of sand look inviting with access to the beach by an accessible ramp to one side and to the other side a steep set of steel steps.
Recommend the Simms Cove Lookout to all, the tourists, the walkers, the families looking for a spot for a day at the beach.

Went running every morning along the walking trail from Pt Hughes Jetty to Simms Cove.
Simms Cove is gorgeous, and the information about the family is of interest.
It is a beautiful trail or you can go along the beach, however if the tide is in be prepared for some rock scrambling.
Also I think it is mating season for seagulls, although none of them made contact with my head, they swooped and appeared very upset that I was on the beach or especially at Pt Hughes Boat Ramp car park.

I love spending my summer holidays here as its such a beautiful and relaxing place. The beach is a stunning shallow beach, so ideal for young families but also for just lazing in the water, which is like a bath by the afternoon.
The township of Moonta is a chilled out country town, with a good Foodland, and there are plenty of options for eating out. There are other shopping, dining options within a 10 minute drive in either Wallaroo or Kadina.
