Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Some lovely products in their gift shop, but very disappointing to arrive and discover the cafe was closed until September. We were really looking forward to the lavender scones.

Cool farm and the shop had interesting things to buy, but it was packed. We enjoyed the visit and the view from the top of the hill was very nice.

Such a lovely place to visit. It takes my breath away. They give us a lavender oil as a gift. Entrance fee is £20 per person.

It was nice to sit here at a table in the sun, looking up the small hill covered in sculpted lavender bushes and at the surrounding gum trees. The shop has everything imaginable that you could make smell or taste of lavender, and for prices that are probably not high for a gift shop. The man attending, however, was gruff, unfriendly, and rude (although the young woman was nice enough). When I asked him where the toilets were, as I walked towards them, I heard him saying 'to himself', "You're welcome". That was totally unnecessary. After ordering scones for $9.50 that were supposed to taste of cheese and herbs, I was very surprised to get two tiny scones that were perhaps 4 cm in diameter, with no cheese whatsoever and so little herb that I could hardly see or taste it. These were served with a very small amount of butter. What a rip off! The lavender ice cream was nice, but not exactly cheap. I could have bought a few things in the shop to get some of my Christmas shopping done, but the man's behaviour really put me off, so I didn't. What really made the time spent there were two female-male pairs of little fairy wrens flitting about close to the tables, hoping for a little bit of food to fall their way. I watched them for quite some time and it made the trip there feel worthwhile. Take a look here if you are passing, but otherwise I would give it a miss.

Underwhelming. Lavendars were not flourishing and the garden looked unloved. The owner was quite rude when we were ordering from the Cafe. Our table was covered in flies and ants. So overall a very average experience.

Despite all the hype in the magazine advertising this destination, this was disappointing as the gardens need some love care and attention. It almost feels like they could not be bothered with the gardens and pathways and seem to put all the efforts into the gift shop and restaurant. It is difficult to call this a lavander farm more some lavender planted around the building.

This is not a large lavender farm like you get in France, however it is still worth a visit.
They have a little shop full of goodies!

Very unfriendly and poor welcoming to customers/ guests, very rude notice about the closing time; you have 5min left… no signs on the roads about closing time, he said look at the internet, there are the opening hours… but when older people or travellers from overseas haven’t got WiFi or even Internet?? Please consider this and be friendly to your guests evev you have quitting time!!

Not right season to visit, but seemed deserted and not welcoming. Cafe not open, staff not engaging and gift shop featured more non local/non Australian products.
Some unique homemade products but for the drive there not really special. Hope this review helps improve what could be a great south Australian experience 🌿

We made a recent trip here (even though it was the end of winter, & probably not the best time to see lavender). When we arrived, to our surprise there was lots of lavender flowering. The shop was fully stocked but when looking for presents I was disappointed to find that the lavender wasn't from the farm, but imported from other countries (such as France).
