WOW. Off the charts authentic Italian 🇮🇹 Food by Edo Strappa and Italian Style wines by Carmine Scalzi at God's Hill Wines, Lyndoch Barossa Valley. Thank you to Luana (chefs partner) for hosting us and thank you to your lovely boys for keeping our kids entertained for the day so Taras and I enjoyed an amazing food and wine experience and got to catch up with all the God's Hill legends. We sampled a bit of everything from the menu, best pizzas ever, ragu that punches rich flavours and to die for dessert all while we enjoyed great company and spectacular views. Don't forget all their delicious wines, Gins etc too plus you get to see some of my art on their walls and on their wine labels (The Birds of God's Hill Shiraz). You really feel like you are in Italy here from the fun people, food, wine and the views. I can't talk them up enough always lots of fun

Great experience in a fabulous setting. Arrived to see an amazing view over the valley to the ranges in the distant. We had a Groupon voucher which gave us tastings, a platter, and a glass of wine of our choice to go with the platter. Lovely personalised service at a table overlooking the vineyards. The platter was delicious and probably the best we have experienced with some different things to the usual platters we have gotten on these deals in other places. Their olive oil is superb. Prices were reasonable and we purchased some bottles to take home. We will go back to enjoy the experience again and try their tempting looking pizzas.

The wine was divine and the food platter we had for our group was amazing! Lots of seafood and antipasto. The staff seemed to be all family and were so friendly especially Charlie the owner who was so funny telling stories. We had a great visit and were lucky enough to taste and buy some beautiful wines in readiness for my husbands 60th. Thank you so much God’s Hill

We were instantly embraced into the fold. Family run and very keen to share their business with us. We had a platter and glass of wine from a discounted voucher. Sometimes you don't get the best service when you have a voucher but these were all super efficient and valued our arrival.

What a wonderful experience!
Charlie and Tina made us feel most welcome.
Food and wines were excellent, seated by the wood fire on a cold day, overlooking the valley and distant hills. What more could you want.
Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Visiting God’s Hill is always great: our favourite winery stop in the Barossa. Charlie is wonderful; an engaging chap who is very passionate about his wines. A great location out the back of Lyndon and always a very nice drop or two to taste.

Charlie, owner/winemaker/cellar door host, is a charming and knowledgeable person . We experienced typical southern Italian hospitality and really appreciated his knowledge of the wines he produces. We had pre ordered a High Tea ( Italian Style ) which was served by his delightful daughter - in - law Tina and her helper. Nothing was too much trouble. We ate our fantastic meal, sipping a glass of Charlie's Prosecco while enjoying the lovely views across the hills. I certainly did not have to get dinner last night. Many thanks to you all for a wonderful afternoon.

We love lots of things about the Barossa Valley and there are many excellent winery visits to experience, but a visit to God’s Hill is always first on our list. Simply our favourite winery to visit in the valley.
The owner, Charlie Scalzi is a great character and incredibly passionate about the wine he produces - with very good reason. His wines are simply excellent.
It is a little hard to find but make sure you persist in doing so - you will be glad you did. Heading out of Lyndoch, if you turn into God’s Hill Road, you have gone too far. It is off a short street at the back of a newish residential area.
The winery itself is not much more than a shed, which itself is a bigger and better version of what was there ten years ago. Do not be put off by first impressions. It is easy to spend considerable time here and Charlie is a most engaging personality.
Just can not speak too highly of this place.
