Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small family winery which grows everything locally to produce 3 wines only. The reds are higher alcohol than many but doesn't taste like it. I thought the very limited stock chardonnay was excellent and bought a case.

Three wines were offered for tasting and all were very nice, however it wasn't really an experience as we tasted the wines standing up at the bar and basically from there it was either buy a bottle or you would leave as it was very limited, due to COVID. I'd imagine it is a bit more of an experience when things are back to 'normal', but for now it was simply a quick stop and go job.

A lovely Coonawarra wine tasting experience. Bronwyn was delightful, informative and gave great customer service. We enjoyed the lovely wines and purchased a bottle of the 2019 Shiraz. It was full bodied with intense fruit flavours. Honestly - there is no wine variety more synonymous with Australia than shiraz. We definitely recommend it. Plus the beautiful entry to the cellar door was inviting and appealing. Be sure to include this winery on your Coonawarra list.

Our first winery visit on a four day visit to the area.
Great place to start.
Friendly assistance, great wines, albeit only 3. But still worth visiting.

Small winery, but nice. Small tasting room, only 4 wines to taste but we did buy 1 of each as they were all quite nice. Friendly staff and good service. Had overseas people spitting their wine into buckets right next to me which was really offputting, but thats them being rude, not the winery's fault. It was a shame the tasting room wasn't a bit bigger and allowed us to move a bit more. Nice surroundings. Pretty stop to taste wine.

The title tells the story. Very impressed with the quality of the wines and purchased some of the shiraz even though I had just bought a bottle at a nearby tasting. The tasting experience was about the wine though as the presentation by the person was not particularly enthusiastic.

This is a family owned estate. Cellar door Chardonnay is worth trying and buying. And for a big red you have to try the Cab-Sav. The cellar door experience is friendly and homely.

Bowen Estate make only 3 wines and each is lovely. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our visit and will enjoy our purchased wines.

Just straight down the line, straight up and down great sometimes incredible wines, nice cellar door staff and fair prices. Bowen Estate is the must go to place along in the Coonawarra along with Zema Estate and Majella in my humble view. Do not miss any of the three. They're giants. But, for now we're talking about Bowen Estate. Fantastic wine, great quality, no fuss, great prices, no frills. They're on a high pedestal. They make me proud to be an Australian.
