Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don’t know the album cover however location is easy to find and has a good, safe spot to park. House makes a nice picture.

Visited this site at sunrise, but the cloud gods did not play nice. A unique site esp if your an oils and Ken Duncan fan. The farmers cottage is roughly 100+ yrs old and is one of the most photographed sites in Aust.

Only realised the house featured on the Midnight Oils album was near Burra a few days before we arrived. It's a classic to visit and emanate Peter Garrett's on stage antics....the best. !!

It's a shame you can't get a closer look BUT I totally understand the owners position.

If your a fan it's a must do.

Interesting for a quick stop - one of those places that you just stop and take a couple of quick photos as everyone knows the place.

You have to stop for the picture and the iconic nature of the location. Weather wasn't great originally but then sunshine and some good pictures. Enjoyed the stop.

This place is always worth a stop, not just because of its appearance on the famed Midnight Oil album cover, but because it's just magnificent. Have stopped many times and on the long weekend was lucky enough to experience it with my car club, adding that extra special touch to a special place with our classic Aussie Holdens. Always changes throughout the day and seasons. Now a car park has been constructed in front allowing much safer viewing. If you visit Burra or drive the Barrier Highway then you really have to do it.

Great to actually see and photograph this Australian icon. It is not only part of our heritage but also our rock and political culture.

On the northern approach to Burra, just three kilometres out of town, is an iconic disused farmhouse which rose to fame in 1987 gracing the record album cover of a famous Austalian musical band. The building cannot be visited, only seen from afar from the highway where many a car will stop on a daily basis to take the obligatory photograph.

I don’t care about which album covers this house was on but it is a great photo. I got one with a red sky and sheep behind as we were passing. And it was in a Qantas ad too.
