Our beautifully renovated cellar door overlooks the stunning homestead gardens and rolling vineyards adjacent to the property. Since the property was founded back in the 1890’s, each custodian has added something unique to the Koonowla story. Now its our turn to make history with our range of iconic Clare Valley wines. We are committed to respecting the shared history of Koonowla while our creativity and innovation allows us to create new pathways into the future. In cellar door, we pride ourselves on our great service and attention to detail. Whether you are looking for a tailored wine tasting or a stunning spot to relax and spend the afternoon, Koonowla is the place for you! The facility is superb, boasting vast lawn areas, perfect for picnics and enjoying the outdoors. We can provide picnic blankets and tables, cheese platters and wines by the bottle or glass. We have got you covered with anything from a romantic afternoon with that special someone to individual or group tastings with family and friends. So glad we stopped in here! Wine tasting is $10, which was generous and came off with our purchase of wine. The lady taking us through our wines was absolutely lovely and great to chat to, and I was stoked to find two new grape varietals I’ve never seen before. They an extensive and diverse wine menu, and you can get cheese/nibbles platters to have with your wine. Can’t understand why this place hasn’t got more reviews.

We really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful setting on a large property. The wine was very good- both Koonowla and Georges. They also do platters - a good selection of cheeses and meats in the self-serve fridge. Friendly, efficient knowledgeable service by Talia.
