Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Grosset makes some of the best dry Riesling outside of Germany, Austria, and Alsace. At 17 years old, the 2006 Watervale Riesling is perfectly aged and as complex as some of the finest German GG’s. But what’s wonderful about Grosset for wine collectors is that as serious as the wines are, they are not prohibitively expensive. And this is indicative of what makes Jeffrey Grosset and his wines so special: he makes world-class wines without an ego. During our amazing visit with Kim, we got the clear sense of Grosset’s commitment to “hand-made” wines, from certified organic farming, including their own highly technical organic composting process, to bottling on their own bottling line, in spite of being a tiny winery, so they can personally manage every step of the winemaking process from vine to bottle. Thank you, Kim, Jeff, and Steph, for the amazing visit, and the incredible wines, year after year.

Rocked up here unannounced late on a Wednesday afternoon, the only ones there. Our host was generous with his time and helpful advice for other places to see and visit while in the Valley, including other Cellar Doors. High knowledge of his product. Sadly, Grosset was sold out of a lot of their best wines which we can’t blame them for. This was our first Cellar Door visit in Clare. It wasn’t the best or most impressive, but it certainly got the trip off to a good start.

Rocked in here at the end of a hot day riding the Riesling Trail wine tasting. Had never heard of this winery prior to visiting. The tasting room was perfectly airconditioned and the bloke who served us there was awesome. Wines were very nice. Highly recommend dropping in here if in the region.

My husband and I brought my mother to visit the Barossa, along with 2 of our great friends living in Sydney. We arranged a private tasting months in advance, as I'd had the pleasure and still thriving memory of the Polish Hill Riesling from our visit to Australia a decade ago.

Our visit was one of the most boutique of our time in the Barossa, with just a small table for the 5 of us, joined by the owner/winemaker himself, Mr. Jeffrey Grosset, as well as his lovely and friendly new cellar door manager, Faerlie. We had a fabulous tasting of 3 Riesling bottlings and the red Gaia, along with a good hour or so of Mr. Grosset's time as we discussed his wine portfolio, history, the industry, and other valley cornucopia. It was a special afternoon for all of us.

We highly recommmd the wines and a visit to the Clare. It really is lovely area, and the wines are of the highest quality.

Very lucky to plan a trip to this region and found Grosset open! They are only open for about 6 weeks a year or until sold out. Beautiful wines. The Reislings are a must!

We were recommended this winery, after asking at the Clare Hotel that night before (who needs James Halliday). This winery is only open for limited weekends in a year. This was our first stop on the Saturday of the Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend, we were very happy with the wines, we purchased a white and a red, and joined their club. However, they have a spirit for over $100 a bottle, sorry Grosset the Italian women's mafia for good Grappa and Limoncello is better priced (usually for a trade of biscotti or tiramisu), I wish you well for those that have not these contacts.
