About
A visit to our Wine Room will see our Wine Room Ambassadors guide you through our wines and introduce you to our story. The landscaped grounds framed by the Wine Room and the historic clock tower are the perfect spot to explore before throwing a picnic rug down and enjoying one of our delicious Coopers Board in the Barossa’s warm sun.

My husband and I chose to visit Yalumba for a tour of the grounds and the Signature Hall, as well as to enjoy a tasting and share platter.
Our guide Kirsty was friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us the cooperage and explained how the barrels are made; we walked through some old vats that have been renovated (you have to see it) with beautiful architecture.
The sun came out in the afternoon and it was very pleasant tasting the Yalumba wines lounging on the couch in the cellar door.

Second time we’ve been here and just as good as previous. Glorious wines tasting at the cellar door. Having 4 wines delivered at once in the bespoke wine racks made from the barrels is a wonderful experience that enables you to taste at your leisure. There is a charge for the flights but it’s redeemable on purchase

Historic, upscale, amazing Barossa Valley tasting experience expertly curated by the attentive, informative and hospitable Yalumba staff.

This was a perfect stop choice on our Wine Hopper visit to Barossa Valley. The option for a flight of White or Red Wines blended extraordinarily well with the palates of our group. The charcutier plate of cheeses, olives, crackers and thinly sliced prosciutto was a delightful complement to our wines.

The Wine Hopper option is the best value for your day in Barossa Valley and Yolumba is a visually appealing and taste bud treat you will not want to miss.

Yalumba is the best winery there is in my opinion. Everything looks lovely and you will fall in love with the setting. This was my last stop from my DIY biking barossa tour and i did live their wines but the selection on $10 tasting was very basic vs other big winery names which offers more value for buck. I would definitely still recommend visit here given 5 star winery setting and the history of Yalumba. However I felt that when I visited the lady who looked after me did not give me enough background on the wines I was tasting. Not much effort compared to other winery tasting I did. She even kept calling me by wrong name (for crying out loud). Still I would probably come back after I did my research and ask more questions and probably pick more premium wine to taste to command attention.

We thoroughly enjoyed our interesting, informative drive out to see the old Grenache vines, with Tracey’s informative, well-paced commentary of Yalumba history on the way. Tasting the wine made from these old vines, standing in the vineyard that grew them, was an awesome experience! (And the wines were good, too!) On our return to the winery, we enjoyed a very educational and interesting visit to the Cooperage. Lunch at the end of the tour was excellent, and on such a perfect autumn day we just had to sit out in the beautiful gardens! Many thanks also to John our driver, who made a special return trip with a camera which had fallen from a pocket into his pristine car. Heartily recommended!

This was a great experience starting with the visit to the nursery where Fred gave us a fabulous insight into all things root stock related. Onto a frollick through the vines with a couple of delicious tastings, followed by a visit to the Cooperage so interesting to see this live, then finishing off with our final tasting coupled with a gourmet platter in the main building. We stayed ion for a few hours drinking wine with our new found friends who were also booked on the tour. Many thanks to Steph our tour director, Ben our driver and Fred our Nursery expert. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the journey of wine from planting to drinking. We loved it!

Walked into the wine room at 11am on a Monday morning just before Christmas. It was drizzling outside but very quiet and cozy in the tasting area. We picked a comfy sofa near the Christmas tree and enjoyed our Eden Valley Whites and Rare and Fine Signature Reds. It was quite an experience. While we did enjoy being left alone and take our time tasting all 4 different wines, it would be better if any staff could just have spent more time with us chatting about the history of the winery or story behind each wine. We were welcomed warmly and served properly, but only two staff at the counter and there were at least 5-7 groups of people waiting. We purchased a bottle of white and red from the flights we tried, so we don't have to pay for the tasting. We had a good time and really liked the atmosphere. We'll be back on a sunny day so we can have a walk in the beautiful garden.

Familiar as we were with The Signature, The Menzies and The Octavius, we weren't so familiar with the winery's other output, so a tasting session was required. Yalumba's cellar door staff were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and well able to keep various parties of wine tasters occupied simultaneously. Of course any wine tasting costs were waived if full bottles were purchased (as we did).
Thank you!

We arrived with a welcome greeting and our table was ready for some wine tasting. Even though we didn’t like the reds as much as whites. All wines are great and the waitress was very informative on the wine we were drinking at the time. The small cheese platter was great as extra $30 and the gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves 100%

We did the Barossa Reds tasting flight. Our tasting expert was very experienced, very accommodating and and kept us entertained! We all enjoyed it very much. Great Grenache! Our $10 tasting flight paid was deducted off the wine we bought also.
