Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Searching the Internet for a winery that didn’t have a set menu and wasn’t very expensive.. came across this winery.

Emailed with a really lovely lady and then decided to make a booking. Arrived early and was the only people’s is restaurant, which is massive (probably seats at least 60-80 people), has 2 open fires.

Table was ready for us, nicely set. Young waitress went through specials and answered questions. I decided on lamb ($32), roast potatoes ($10), wilted greens ($10) accompanied by glass rose. The lamb was cooked to perfection & had 4 large pieces with not a bit of fat to be seen.. it melted in your mouth. Roast potatoes tasted double cooked and maybe duck fat & were delicious, as were the greens. Only managed to eat half to everything & now have another meal for another night.. when you consider that the price seems reasonable.

This place was spectacular. Loved the internal design and furniture. Such a beautiful space in a gorgeous setting. The wines were delicious and Gavyn was very helpful and informative. I was part of a big group on a tour and we accidentally forgot some of our wine but Lambert Estate made sure I had it in my hands The very next day which was just amazing. The platters were just scrumptious. I highly recommend this experience! Thank you

Dropped into this family winery following a recommendation of a local we meet in town. Couldn't have been happier. Over lunch our group enjoyed Lambert's range of red & white wines. Everyone loved these & the choc port, the lunch (pizzas, haloumi, salads etc.) and the fantastic and engaging service. Having some past experience with a family restaurant I can understand how important these dynamics are. The atmosphere upstairs and the view over the wineries was as good as it gets. Had a brilliant chat with the CTO (chief tasting officer) who explained who the family was and the company's vision. Will definitely return on our next visit to the Barossa valley.

Nice location and friendly staff.
Good wine.
Only limited choices for meals. A few mains that require a side to avoid starvation or pizza wirh minimal toppings..
Servings very small. I was served 8 small mouthfuls of pork belly and a serve of wedges for $47. Other mains as small. Very disappointing but tasty.
Pizza had minimal toppings for $28.
I counted 12 small cubes of chicken on the BBQ chicken pizza. Wood oven seems to be code for "rip off".
All members of my group were disappointed with the portions and left hungry.
I would definitely use the location for an event but would do my own catering if you want satisfied guests.

Beautiful relaxed lunch with friends. Set within the vineyards, gorgeous surroundings. The dinning room is bright, modern, comfortable, inviting with some great pieces of art and a lovely warm open fireplace that made it perfect on a drizzly overcast Barossa day. Service was very friendly, there were a lot of young staff that did a fabulous job ensuring we were all looked after. Wine of the day for me was the rose, left with a bottle for later. Great choices on the menu. My husband and I turned it into a shared experience by splitting the lamb and the pork belly dishes because we wanted to try both, easily done and definitely large enough meals. The lamb was cooked to perfection, the pork belly sauce was delicious! Dessert was ok, donuts maybe a bit overdone. This was such a comfortable place to sit with a wine that we ended up staying for several hours and didn’t realise we had been there that long! We were a group of four, everyone left content and keen to return.

We went here as part of the TrailHopper tour from Adelaide. Make sure you have a booking so you can be accommodated as it can be quite busy.

We had our tasting with Dee, she was absolutely fantastic. Gave us a background of all the wines and the Winery itself along with being a really pleasant person who gave us lots of laughs throughout.

Each wine is named after one of the families experiences so make sure to ask about them all as they're all quite interesting. They have so many different wines to try, our favourites were the 2011 Nordic Frost Riesling and the Mustang Sally which we bought a bottle of each.

We went to four wineries as part of the tour and this was absolutely our favourite place to go. They were incredibly generous with tastings and felt like we tasted practically everything by the time we left so couldn't recommend this place enough

A group of 40 enjoyed an incredible lunch in a private area for a birthday.

The long lunch was well paced and food sooo good. Lovely wines and beers to match.

The staff were super friendly and made it a great day out

What a fantastic winery to visit. This winery is a little off the track but don’t let that fool you. It is roomy with great views and warm friendly staff. It offers several styles of dining catering from platters to full dining service, make sure you check for the times. It is a very COVID aware winery with plenty of space to have a comfortable tasting experience. Did I mention the staff, they were great with their friendly smiles and product knowledge. In the famous words of “Ian Molly Meldrum” ……do yourself a favour and visit this beautiful winery.

Lambert Estate is by far one of the most outstanding wineries in the Barossa. Their wine range is outstanding quality and the food is to die for! The hard part about visiting is try to select which wines to bring home. You will want to buy all of them!

One of our favourite winery destinations in the Barossa. Have visited twice over a space of 2 years and was perfect both times. Platters with tastings are excellent. The owner stopped for a small chat with our group which was very nice. We now order a few of their wines via delivery to QLD, one being the chocolatier wine which is a fave of mine.
