About
The Barossa Farmers Market: real food from the homes and farms of the Barossa Valley. We are a food-only, traditional farmers market, open every Saturday morning between 7.30am - 11.30am. Many of our stalls are undercover, inside the Vintners shed in Angaston. Our producers sell an array of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, smallgoods, baked goods, fresh seafood, olive oils, vinegars, confectionery, jams and preserves. We also have a coffee bar, selling a range of coffee's made from locally roasted beans. Stock up on your fresh produce, buy a sweet treat and enjoy a delicious coffee with friends. If it's breakfast you are looking for, we have a community breakfast bar offering bacon and egg rolls, with proceeds going back to the local community. We look forward to showing you the best of the Barossa soon!

As a stall holder of nearly seven years I can tell you that this market has seen some changes over the years but the authenticity has never failed! This market is a true picture of the enthusiasm, creativity and availability of its stall holders.
The market today has reached a peak I have not seen for sometime. The easing of COVID restrictions and the reopening of our market has seen a great new trend for ‘going local’ with visitor numbers on the rise and new stall holders therefore emerging. I have been a weekly shopper for many more years and appreciate the connections I have made with the people behind the produce and and now the folks I get to sell to too!

Came to the markets and enjoyed pastries and coffee. Good location, vast array of fresh produce, beautiful bread, cured meats etc. a couple of young guys busking at the entrance set the scene as we enjoyed our brunch

We were spending a weekend at the Barossa Valley and on the Saturday morning of our stay we went to the Barossa Farmers Market at Angaston. We arrived at about 10.15 am. There was quite a crowd there but the parking was easy👍I had the best time at these markets because they had everything there you would expect from a good farmers market such as fresh seasonal locally grown organic fruit & vegetables, fresh locally produced meats & cheeses, nuts and dried fruit. With my husband being a jam fan we bought jars of beautiful peach & apricot conserve. We also bought homemade cucumber pickles which are just delicious (nearly all gone). It was also bread & pastry heaven... we finished off our morning at the Farmers Market with coffee & cakes. I can highly recommend a visit to Barossa Farmers as it was lovely way to spend the morning. PS did I mention the chocolate fudge was out of this world!

Hubby and I were up in the Barossa for a break and decided to check out the market.
Almost one hundred percent of the stalls are food related, with fresh vege and dried fruits; meats; kimchi. There was an excellent range if you want to replenish your pantry and fridge.
We were disappointed because there wasn’t anything to do or locally made items to buy.
Hubby did not rate the coffee at all. There was no strength to it and the milk was poorly textured. He said it taste like a warm cup of milk, albeit a good quality milk.

Check it out if you are hungry and want good quality food.

Well the market is back but some of the stall holders arent so tgats a bit disappointing. Maybe if people head back and support the loyal producers the market will get back to its best.
The gear we bought was fresh and good value. Keep up the good work.

A great community market and a nice place to grab brunch and support the locals. Easy parking and friendly stall holders. We enjoyed about an hour there trying and buying olives, cheese, relishes, dried fruit, nuts and more.

The Barossa Farmer's market is full of fresh local produce, including bacon, sausages, quail eggs & lots of pastry products. It won't take long to go through as it is not very big. However, it's a relaxing way to spend Saturday morning.

Lovely fresh food and friendly service at the Barossa Markets this morning. Great variety however no fresh fruit juices available. Difficulty parking a large vehicle so parked out on the road.

This was our first visit to this delightful farmers' market but it won't be our last.

A terrific range of local produce - from fruit and veg, to baked goods, meats, coffee, cheeses and olive oil. You could easily drop half your pay here and would very much enjoy doing so.

Do visit Michael at Barossa Heritage Pork for some delicious pork and and pork products produced by someone who is truly passionate about treating his pigs well. He really is a top bloke....and the sausages, bacon and pork roast were the best we've ever had.

Do yourself a favour and go...but go early otherwise you may miss out on the wonderful items that are available.
