About
Grace is our beautiful purpose built catamaran which takes her lucky crew and guests to the secluded beaches and pristine waters of the Keppel Islands. We spend the morning cruising with the dolphins and turtles of Keppel Bay, then anchor at one of our beautiful coves. Morning/afternoon tea and a full buffet lunch is included as is snorkelling equipment to say hello to our fish that live on our part of the southern Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic day on the water. Excellent customer service from Clem and Kyle who were very professional, safety conscious, friendly, chatty and frequently checked on passengers comfort. Morning tea and lunch was delicious and BBQ well cooked by Kyle. Lots of fish and coral whilst snorkelling - fun times whist crew kept us safe. Loved the beach they took us to. We were hoping to sail home but despite Clem and Kyles best efforts the day was just too perfect with brilliant sunshine and clear, flat waters. Would highly recommend that Sail Capricorn hold onto these two valuable staff assets .

I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a relaxing trip.
Clem and Ryan were fantastic, very knowledgeable and made it a really fun day. Nothing was too much trouble. They read the group well and catered for the needs of everyone onboard.

Went on an all day cruise with family and friends. Jaida and Amy from sail Capricornia went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect every step of the way. Absolutely perfect day and can’t wait to come back and do it again next year.

The sunset cruise was disappointing in that it was Disorganised, poor commentary and time management, but the food was great (thanks Didi!). We all arrived on time and we’re then made to wait without a suitable explanation. When we all boarded the boat was overcrowded and not everybody could enjoy the sunset properly. The cruise felt unprofessional.

We booked the full day sail tour and were disappointed. The weather and seas were rough..hence we were put on a ferry to and from Great Keppel and boarded and disembarked the Cat there. We motored around Great Keppel only. No sailing involved. No prawns or tea and coffee..as advertised. Difficult to see out from the seating ..windows badly weathered. Our first snorkel was also a little disappointing...but it was to see fish at the wreck of the old observatory and we did see fish next to the concrete pylons. The other cat they run is the Funtastic..and it doesnt have a mast at all as of about a week ago. Walking on Long Beach was lovely.. the swimming lovely.. but Sail Capricornia implies Sailing. If it's too rough Cancel. Suggest a name change. Others felt the same.

We loved our day out on the Grace 2 with Clem & Tori. They were very friendly and created such a great atmosphere with their laid back attitude. Lunch was delicious. We were taken to numerous beautiful secluded locations for snorkelling and relaxing on beaches. Would highly recommend this trip. Loved it all.
Thanks

Thanks to Clem and Tory for a great day on the water! Snorkeling at the old observatory was awesome! Lots of different types of fish and a good selection of live corals. Clem and Tory were both professional and friendly. Great lunch included!

This sailing trip was a highlight of our Australia trip. The crew was extremely knowledgeable about the local islands and gave us an experience we will always remember. We were provided with everything needed to snorkel around the waters of the Great Barrier Reef, all we had to bring was our swimsuits.
The guests onboard all enjoyed the food, the weather, and the updates from the Captain and Crew. We were able to view the Coral Reef, Sea Turtles, many, many colorful fish and some even saw a stingray.
We stayed on schedule all day, using the motor to move around from island to island if there was not enough wind. We visited 3 different islands and viewed many more. We completed our full sail back into the dock at a very nice clip.
We would recommend this trip to anyone, and a good reason to stay in Yeppoon.

Really we couldn't have asked for more. David and Anita were so welcoming and attentive and ensured we had everything we needed to have a lovely day out. They tailored the day around our chosen activities- snorkelling and trail walking. When a splash was noticed in the distance, we diverted North a little and viewed two whales basking with their baby. We walked to Wreck Bay, snorkelled and had our first standing paddle board experience. Grace was very comfortable, especially sitting on the beanbags on the tramps. BBQ lunch was ample and very tasty. We had such a fun day out and highly recommend Sail Capricornia for a beautiful day on the Keppel Coast.

We picked up a brochure for Sail Capricornia at our accommodation. We booked a day trip for 2adults and our 2 teens. We had an awesome day sailing out to middle Island and Butterfish beach. The kids loved the sand hills and snorkeling. The food was a highlight, scones and lammingtons for morning tea, and beautiful prawns and sausages and salads. On the sail home we had a beautiful fruit platter with the most amazingly sweet pineapple. It really was one of the highlights of our 3 week holiday.

Hi, what is the best way to get there from Melbourne, Victoria?
Written 1 October 2016
Fly to Brisbane and then fly to Rockhampton. There are many ways to then travel the 24km to Yeppoon. Occasionally there are direct flights to Rockhampton but not sure if they are still doing that.

Hello Hermien. We sail any day we have 4 or more travelers booked on. If you are here for more than one day than you could transfer to another day if there is no trip on the 12th, but the chances of having a trip on the 12th September are high as it is a busy time of the year. Our rates are all inclusive and there are no further taxes or charges to pay. Please contact us if you need any more information. Regards, Anthony. 0402102373.
