About
The Yeppoon Lagoon is the jewel in the crown of the Yeppoon foreshore precinct. The 2500 square-metre resort style lagoon pool is located right on the beach front and includes a shallow children's play area, an informal lap swimming area and a swim-up infinity edge with stunning views over the Keppel Islands.

First class public amenity by Yeppoon beach đź‘Ť. Great facilities. Patrolled pool. The lagoon infinity pool has views of the Keppel Islands and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The Rocks cafe on the ground floor is open for breakfast and food is well priced compared to other cafes across from the beach.

Incredible! Seriously it's like being in one of the resorts overseas...but instead it's free and available to everyone. The area is exceptionally well looked after. It's stunning to stand here to look out over the azure blue colours from the lagoon to the ocean.

There are lounge seats around the area for lazing in and just taking in the view, from here you can slip into the lagoon and enjoy a safe swimming area. I loved the pelican art that greets you as you slip into the edge of the water... it's quirky and fun. There are lifeguards on duty here as well and a cafe/restaurant/bar area.

As I continued to wander around the area, I noted that there is amazing car parking provided for this area as well. With all of the incredible features in this area... Yeppoon truly is outstanding in so many respects.

Beautiful, well worth taking the kids to. Convenient parking, heaps of room in the actual pool - photos don’t quite show how big it is. Perfectly manicured grassed areas to have picnic or sit at the cafe on site and enjoy a cold drink.

Good place to have a splash but if you are tourists, beware of parking fines. The parking facility has poor signage of paid parking and tourists can hardly find out where the paying machine. There were no clear signs at lagoon for paid parking. We asked other locals after seeing the ticket on car and they all advised that its always has been very sneaky and hidden. One fellow led us to the sign and that was hardly visible for tourists out of the region. We got $62 fine for 2 hours. They have invested in 85 sensors to catch the people not getting parking ticket but have not invested in proper signs to advise vistaprint about paid parking. Where we come from have free parking at local lagoon so we just assumed it would be free at Yeppoon lagoon too. Also their Facebook page doesn't mention anything about parking charges we only found some information on council website later on. So hopefully this helps to some of the tourists visiting first time.

This is a fantastic asset for Yeppoon, and great for families to have a safe swim without any worries about stingers or crocs. Not so great if you want unobstructed lane swimming. There is no entrance fee. There is a big variation in depths though from 0.4m to 2.4m, which kids and those supervising need to be aware of. The cafe is also well priced and popular. Nearby parking is metered (only $2) but free parking is only a short walk.

We met up with friends here for coffee mid week. Excellent coffee and the lagoon with its infinity pool was a treat. Although not as big as similar lagoon pools I've seen elsewhere, the water was very inviting and there were sections for babies and toddlers as well as children and big kids/adults. I was also pleased to see a life guard on duty. The coffee was better than any we had on the Capricorn coast since we arrived a week ago. The local council does a very good job of managing this property and I rate it highly. They also had a disabled wheelchair for people who needed it to enjoy the pool and also had a ramp leading into the water to facilitate entry for the disabled. I had never seen that service offered anywhere else and was very impressed. The public toilets were very clean. Will return next time with my bathers.

What a magnificent place! This was a definite highlight of our visit! A great idea since swimming in the beach wasn’t recommended at the time of our visit due to stingers and a reported crocodile lol! So this definitely made up for it 100%! Well done to the Council for investing in such a magnificent amenity! Clean, safe and beautiful and with amazing views! I love that there were lifeguards patrolling the lagoon - a great idea! As the pools are quite deep in parts it made it feel a lot safer especially for young children. Had the weather been better we would have been here daily during our stay. At least we got one day there :-)

Excellent set up that is free to enter an swim. Larger infinity pool than I imagined, sea at front and grass/cafe at back. Hot showers for before and after. Various depths for the kids and lifeguards and very good rules to ensure safety. $2 hour car park at the back but free parks close by also spend and hour or the day. Not overly crowded to say it was jan 2. Looking over the wall the the beach with the wind, sand, waves- this was great. Again we’ll do e to the town for its insight for visitors and locals alike

A great place to head on a hot day. Yepoon Lagoon is a big beautiful swimming pool at the edge of the beach. You can hang over the edge and watch the sea. It is usually not a good idea to swim at the beach because of the jellyfish danger. It is beautifully landscaped and has plenty of room for young and old. There are lifeguards for the safety of young ones. Parking is $2 for all day which is strange but not expensive. The changing facilities are clean and modern. The Lagoon is a wonderful asset for the tourism industry in Yepoon. The only downside is that it doesn't have enough shade.

Great free public pool. Beautiful outlook.
Lots of shady picnic spots around. Lifeguards were very good. Acted promptly when a snake entered the pool. Love the infinity aspect. Nice cafe.
