About
The Yeppoon Lagoon is the jewel in the crown of the Yeppoon foreshore precinct. The 2500 square-metre resort style lagoon pool is located right on the beach front and includes a shallow children's play area, an informal lap swimming area and a swim-up infinity edge with stunning views over the Keppel Islands.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous free public pool right on the beach. Really good family day trip with all the amenities. Cafe is nice too. - although very busy when we were there on the weekend in the school holidays.

Good place to have a splash but if you are tourists, beware of parking fines. The parking facility has poor signage of paid parking and tourists can hardly find out where the paying machine. There were no clear signs at lagoon for paid parking. We asked other locals after seeing the ticket on car and they all advised that its always has been very sneaky and hidden. One fellow led us to the sign and that was hardly visible for tourists out of the region. We got $62 fine for 2 hours. They have invested in 85 sensors to catch the people not getting parking ticket but have not invested in proper signs to advise vistaprint about paid parking. Where we come from have free parking at local lagoon so we just assumed it would be free at Yeppoon lagoon too. Also their Facebook page doesn't mention anything about parking charges we only found some information on council website later on. So hopefully this helps to some of the tourists visiting first time.

Awesome place, actually felt like this could be my spiritual home. Superb landscape all round. Incredible facilities and topped off with a divine dinner at The Rock Restaurant on the lagoon👌

Beautiful lagoon overlooking the water. Depth up to 2.4m. Little water features for kids and nice decks around the lagoon. The colour of the water is beautiful, the water was cold when we went but kids were still in there. The Rocks bar is next to the lagoon. There is a lifesaver at the lagoon.

A great place to head on a hot day. Yepoon Lagoon is a big beautiful swimming pool at the edge of the beach. You can hang over the edge and watch the sea. It is usually not a good idea to swim at the beach because of the jellyfish danger. It is beautifully landscaped and has plenty of room for young and old. There are lifeguards for the safety of young ones. Parking is $2 for all day which is strange but not expensive. The changing facilities are clean and modern. The Lagoon is a wonderful asset for the tourism industry in Yepoon. The only downside is that it doesn't have enough shade.

We really enjoyed the size of the lagoon and the different areas depth wise to cater for all ages. The facilities were also great, the cafe, toilets and showers. A definite must go to when in Yeppoon.

What a magnificent place! This was a definite highlight of our visit! A great idea since swimming in the beach wasn’t recommended at the time of our visit due to stingers and a reported crocodile lol! So this definitely made up for it 100%! Well done to the Council for investing in such a magnificent amenity! Clean, safe and beautiful and with amazing views! I love that there were lifeguards patrolling the lagoon - a great idea! As the pools are quite deep in parts it made it feel a lot safer especially for young children. Had the weather been better we would have been here daily during our stay. At least we got one day there :-)
