Really enjoyed this moderate climb and great views from various points along the track.
Enjoyed both directions - heart working uphill and legs working downhill. Not too long to cause any exhaustion but always best to do climbing in early morning in hotter months to avoid the direct sun and dehydration. ENJOY!!

Challenging but not impossible, this climb will get your heart rate up, but definitely worth the view. Even better when you tuck in to the mangoes from the fruit sellers in the car park.

This is a great walk for those that like to enjoy nature and like to walk up a track with a bit of an incline. This walk is not on flat ground and is not clearly marked, so I would recommend this walk for those that like a bit of an adventure. It takes at least an hour round trip.

Great climb to an awesome view. A sense of achievement when you reach the top of Mount Jim Crow. Well worth the adventure.

You will require a bit of upper body strength for this climb. Great for active kids over 8yrs old.
Track is clearly marked, although there are plenty that seem to have been explored as well. We went with a 4yr old, which was not a great idea. His parents turned around half way.

View is nice, as is the refreshing breeze at the top (summer).

Fun hike, I don't usually climb hills but wasn't too difficult, requires some fitness though! I was buggered after getting to the top in just under 20 mins. Took a camelbak and sunscreen.

Great views and nice breeze at the top enjoy the view and cool down. Some limited shade at the top to recover.

Took different tracks back down which I found were more difficult and fun to slide down in my new hiking shoes.

My partner and I did this climb and had fun but...we definitely took a few wrong turns. I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself just in case you got to a part that was too steep to go down. In terms of the climb itself, it was challenging in some parts but didn't take very long - about 30 minutes. Be prepared to slide on your bum if you're short!

A steep but very rewarding hike up Mt Jim Crow. Some climbing and scrambling on all fours required so suitable only for fit people. We are in our mid 60’s and quite fit and managed it without any problems. Great view from the top.

Decent uphill walk/climb. Need suitable footwear. We had been looking for a hard hill climb in the area for a while and enjoyed this walk. Not too long, about an hour in total.

Had trouble finding this initially as it wasn't well signposted today. It is between ironpot and bondoola on the left (if travelling from rocky to yeppoon). If you get to the driving range you've gone too far. There's a pull over section just off the road with a fruit and vege stand there sometimes.

The track is marked but there are a few ways you can get to the top as tracks seem to wind round the hill in both directions. Arrows shown in pics.

Rocky climb, beware of loose falling rocks and knocking them down on people below you on the track.

360 degree view of surrounding area.

As others have said the climb is suited to moderately fit adults/teens. Some of the way up is a decent scramble. Once you get to the top, the scenery is spectacular. We took some snacks for lunch and heaps of water. Don’t forget the camera!! Certainly would not do the climb if it has been raining, rocks could be very slippery.
