This is a stunning part of Australia. There are miles of beautiful beaches with natural forests that come down the the beachs. Plenty of places to chill-out.

Capricorn National Park encompasses the headlands along the coastal road South of Yeppoon. One day we walked the Bluff Point Track, saw four turtles from Turtle Lookout and really loved the views over Yeppoon and South towards Causeway Lake. At Double Head there is a lovely short walk up to two lookouts. One looks back to Bluff Point and the other looks over the marina towards Yeppoon. Wonderful views, great walks.

Make sure to stop at Emu Park there is a beautiful Anzac Memorial, there is a patrolled beach to swim at plus other beaches to fish and swim. Can get busy on weekends but Emu Park to Yeppoon is a beautiful part of Queensland. Get over to Great Keppel Island if you can.
