Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The first day of the school holidays,24° and the place was mostly quiet. Beautiful spot to just sit and relax in the Sun. Changing room/toilets,close the the shops and ice cream parlor.
Great for teens, families or couples to stop and rest after a walk along the kilometers of coastal walks.

Absolutely loved our day at Settlement Cove. Saltwater pool with different depths, great for all ages and abilities.
Very clean and tidy and surprisingly plenty of space to leave belongings without feeling on top of another family/group.

Great for families. Get there early (before noon) to find a shady spot and parking nearby. There is a small kiosk with the beach kind treats like ice creams and fish and chips. You’ll find an area with water sprinklers for the little ones and a shallow area for toddlers/babies.
There is a playground right next to the lagoon and a basketball court. BBq area and toilet facilities.
It’s a lovely place to spend a day. For free.

We decided to go Settlement Cove for a splash. It was such a nice spot and our granddaughter just loved the kids area.
It was a hot day and we found a picnic table in the shade. After playing and swimming we decided to get fish and chips across the road for lunch.
It is such a pretty swimming area and it is so great that there are lifeguards on patrol.
There are showers and toilets and bbqs to use. Great place to spend a day.

Although too cool yesterday to swim/paddle in the water here it is very well designed and appears very family friendly. Plenty of seating, shade water features and room. The lagoon really is great. Will have to come back on a warmer day when I can well imagine it would be rightfully well used.

A free pool in Redcliffe; you're just asking for trouble! Insiufficient parking. Insufficent places to sit around the lagoon. About the only thing in plentiful supply were people who appeared to be vilolating their parole conditions.

Hi, I usually don't complain about anything much. When I first moved here 14 years ago Settlement Cove was absolutely delightful. They then up-graded it a few years ago (my partner Graham and I even rode our bicycles through the pool when it was empty) much like a pair of teenagers. They improved the area, the BBQ's the playground area (which is great still). The only problem we have now is that it is such a popular place it is so packed with people and swimming in the height of summer is much like human soup with the water temperature far too warm as well. To get a BBQ spot you would have to go there at 5am and sit on them to secure them. There are BBQ's a bit further up but these are always full as well. There is not enough seating areas and unless you are young it is not ideal for the elderly. I must say that I am 51 but find it difficult to get up and down off the ground now. I have not swam in this area for a couple of years now because of these factors and the toilets and showers are not adequate for that many people. We could do with about 3 of these areas but I fear they would fill up with people just as quickly. I tried to swim there last year but was kicked (accidentally) nearly jumped on and hit in the head by people throwing balls and other pool toys. Not enjoyable. The kiddies swim area and the play area are great but get really full as well so I do not take the grand-children there any longer. Sorry Redcliffe....I love Redcliffe but not this area any longer....it's a shame really.

Settlement Cove is on Redcliffe's foreshore - the view from the Cove is spectacular - overlooking Moreton Bay to Moreton Island.
Settlement Cove is an ideal place for families, with a childrens playground, wading pools and beachside bbq's. Its a great place to catch up with friends or just go it alone! There is a large swimming lagoon for the big kids or adults. .... a few minutes stroll will take you into Redcliffe Shopping and Redcliffe Jetty (where the whale watching or dolphin spotting boats leave from). Along Redcliffe's beachfront shopping street, there are many nice little cafes/restaurants including Italian, Indian, Hogsbreath, 3 Hotels and other relaxing eating spots. There is also an icecream bar.
