Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for a walk along the Woody Point Jetty. There were a number of fishermen throwing cast nets into the water trying to catch the mullet. It was very interesting and entertaining.
The views are lovely and the history of the jetty is also very interesting and is portrayed at start of the pier.

Great place to go for a walk, skateboard or go fishing!
Probably a good idea to douse yourself in insect repellent - some midgies can also find this a popular spot depending on the time of year. The beach is nice to walk on, more suited to water activities like rowing or paddle boating, fishing - but probably not so much swimming. The walkway is well lit and there are restuarants/ access to shops close to the jetty. Parking is easy to find and there are plenty of seatings available for a picnic or barbeque.

Well, what can I say.... we live near by, we take a walk almost every day to jetty or enjoying craft beer from tap and a nicely dressed up bowl of chips on open deck of the Belvedere Hotel, or sitting outside, on bar stool at Feelzgood Cafe. The sunsets are breathtaking, the fishing is busy...sometimes you can even hook up a small shark from the end of the jetty. Large playground for kids and few barbies for oldies are there as well. A place where you can spend a very nice day.... Couples....Families.....Friends.....even Business and Solos will enjoy a day out here...

LOVE the views, the calm, the relaxation and the playgrounds for the mini-lenials. Across from Woody's Seafood and The Belvedere! Perfect Sunday spot :)

Although I live less than an hour away, I’d never been up to Woody Point Jetty, I’m so glad I decided to go ! The northern bay is stunning, the jerry is great just for people watching or fishing off with your kids. Grab some fish and chips and relax and watch time go by. There’s a nice little pub across the road if you want a drink and nibbles and enjoy the view from there. A beautiful spot to visit.

A lovely walk and then breakfast at Cafe 389. With beautiful weather there’s not too many other places you’d want to be. The bike/walking path is a great way to see the foreshore.

I remember as a teenager, I fished off the old jetty in winter time (thats the second reovated jetty built in 1919, I think), for squid or calamari as it is now delicatley called.
Back then people thought my mate and I were fishing for bait and we would say no we eat it...what the!!!
I continued fishing even on the new pier built in 2009. The place is buzzing with people..I just bloged on the Belvedere and the coffee shop.
It's a nice place of the world and when your on that pier your trubles just seem to fade away.
And even if you don't like fishing just go down and have a stroll down memory lane.

The jetty is quite historic and interesting although undergoing some renovation. The area is also historic as Matthew Finders arrived at Redcliife in 1799 and 1823 it became the first penal settlement in Queensland but forced to move because of the mosquito's. Now it has high rise apartments and one might assume mosquito's.
