We are Brisbane’s closest hot air ballooning company. Simply drive 30 minutes west of the Brisbane CBD to experience a 1 hour city and country hot air balloons flight. Passengers enjoy superb & glorious views whilst floating majestically & effortlessly over the heritage city of Ipswich, the Scenic Rim & Somerset countrysides. Discover and explore Greater Brisbane’s big backyard from the air – with Floating Images! We offer a boutique ballooning experience with only one flight per day and a maximum of 11 passengers ensuring you enjoy the experience. This activity commences 40 minutes before sunrise is approximately 3 to 4 hours, includes a 1 hour Balloon Flight, Restaurant Breakfast & Flight certificate. Floating Images’ flights are ideal for any visitors, individuals, families & friends. Hot air balloon rides are a great way to celebrate one of life’s special occasions, weddings, tick an item off your bucket list, incentive, motivate or reward your team on a corporate outing or simply just indulge and just spoil yourself. What a lovely relaxing morning. Being able to watch and assist the team in the set-up and pack-down process was so interesting. The staff were lovely. The views were stunning. And then followed by a delicious breakfast. Definitely worth the visit!

We can now take "flying in a hot air balloon" off of our bucket list. Had an enjoyable flight, and it turned out to be a fascinating learning experience as well. Definitely recommended.

An experience to remember forever. Graeme and his crew were so professional. We all had a wonderful time in the air and at the breakfast after. Out of 100 I would give them 150%. If you have considered a balloon ride I would urge you to contact Floating Images for a memorable time

My husband and I had a great experience with Floating Images Hot Air Balloon Flights! We were gifted a voucher and the whole process was super simple. The early morning wake up was 100% worth it to see the most amazing sunrise from the air balloon. Graeme and his team were so lovely and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and we even got to participate in the set up and pack down of the balloon. The included breakfast was very tasty with heaps of options to pick from - excellent coffee too. 10/10 experience that I would recommend to everyone. Thanks Graeme!

Graham Day is an amazing balloon pilot. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable in his local area of Ipswich in Queensland. I booked birthday flights for my 70th and my son’s 50th.
In 2019 I booked flights for my husband and son for their 70th and 40th Birthdays and they thoroughly enjoyed it and didn’t stop talking about it for quite a while. I then decided that I had to do it too and I am so so glad I did.
Booking was easy to do over the phone but is equally easy to do via their internet page.
We were kept very well informed after the booking was made and nothing was too much trouble with any additions I made, like extra breakfast bookings.
Information was given regarding where you could stay locally in Ipswich, either motels or caravan parks
A truely awesome experience from booking to goodbyes after flight breakfast.

Thank you for your inquiry about Floating Images hot air balloon flights and the potential wedding possibility. Since our commencement of ballooning over the Ipswich, Somerset & Scenic Rim region, we have carried out every year, a number of weddings up in the air and in the balloon!
Floating Images is the only hot air balloon company in South East Queensland to offer a combined city & country balloon flight. Only 30 mins drive from Downtown Brisbane.
Our balloon flights are over the Greater Brisbane region encompassing the Valleys of the Scenic Rim, Somerset countryside & heritage city of Ipswich.
Our standard balloon program includes:
Commencing at Sunrise
Meet & Greet Passengers at Ipswich
Inflation & Deflation of balloon participation
One Hour hot air balloon scenic flight,
Restaurant Champagne Breakfast
Commemorative Flight certificate
& all flight program vehicle transfers from our pre arranged meeting point.
Participants need to allow 3 - 4 hours for the ballooning program.
