The straddie ferrys facilitated a great start and end to our day trip to nth straddie. We booked online, so easy and totally hassle free checkins. Staff welcoming and safety conscious and loading/unloading was very calm and safety conscious. The cafe in the ferry car park was excellent and very quick service. We had breakfast there before the 7am ferry.... More

Arriving from Melbourne to Stradbroke ferries for the first time, the staff were very helpful to us first timers. The booking / ticketing process was quick and simple. The ride over was nice and scenic. Nice cafe available on board. North stradbroke is a beautiful island and recommend it to all wishing to visit. $10 adult return $5 kids return... More

There are 2 car ferries to Stradbroke Island. Both are excellent. There is plenty of room to move around after the efficient parking staff positions your vehicle on the deck. The food is fast food in the restaurant, I think only one has a food counter. can't remember. The stable voyage and high decks are lovely to sit and watch the... More

About an hour ferry to Stradbroke island. It is wortwhile to make preliminary booking via their website. It is advised to take an early morning ferry from Cleveland, and come back about 5 pm, to make it a perfect island adventure day. There are great beaches, if lucky, you can sea dolphins around the island, but it is also worth... More

We recently did a day trip to Straddie. We booked to go at 7am and return at 4pm. The website booking system was easy to navigate. The system to get on and off the barge was equally easy and the cafe on-board meant we could enjoy a tea/coffee as we headed across. It always feels like your holiday starts as... More

We go once a month, the website is good and the staff are helpful when I ring up for assistance. At the barge the staff are friendly if you arrive early and get put on standby for an earlier barge. At the end they get you to Straddie and that is the goal and they do it safely.

Take your car with you to the island as the transport on Straddie island is little or none. The cost does add to the trip, but it is worth it to have a car, you can cover the island's beaches and lakes.
