Overview
More
1770 Distillery was established as a Boutique Distillery to utilise the locally grown fruits of the area and to provide a unique experience for both locals and tourists. It was John's dream to have a distillery and that is what led both John & Debra to the beautiful seaside Town of 1770 / Agnes Water in Queensland. The dream materialized after being bitten by the distilling bug whilst living in Tasmania. It was there that both John & Debra developed their distilling skill under the ever watchful eye of both Bill & Lyn Lark of the Lark Distillery.

We really enjoyed our time at 1770 Distillery. John spent quite some time with us explaining the processes in making his beautiful liqueurs. Strawberry my favourite but they were all awesome!!

Loved the place and would have liked to spend more time reading the history. But don't imagine you will save any money. A tasting would have made decisions easier but in saying that it might create a driving hazard. All in all a good experience,...More

Visited the 1770 Distillery, enjoyed the tasting of several different fruity flavours, very nice and came away with a bottle that we are going to enjoy.

The guy who we spoke to was very knowledgeable on the alcohol he made. Everything there is made by him from scratch and a lot of work goes into it. We bought a few things and the guy told us what to do with each...More

This quaint little distillery is definitely something to visit whilst in 1770. We were greeted with smiles and no pressure to buy anything. Just taste the yummy fruit liquors. We did end up buying one that tickled our fancy.
