Lisa and Kevin from DISCOVER 1770 recommended the day trip to Lady Elliot Island for my husband , adult daughter and myself and it was brilliant. From the moment we hopped on the plane our adventure started. The scenic flight around Lady Musgrave then onto Lady Elliot was amazing . Once we arrived at the island we went on the glass bottom boat trip and went snorkeling from the boat. We then snorkeled the rest of the day on both sides of the island, which was fantastic. There are several other activities on offer but we were content with snorkeling. The scenic flight home was fabulous flying low into 1770 and Agnes Waters. The pilot gave a terrific commentary during the flights. The day was worth every cent . …

Our first impression of 1770 was noticing all the 4WD's and SUV's with boat trailers parked on the grass verges for what seemed like miles. This must be a great spot to get to fishing grounds? We drove on to the headland and walked on to a lookout with beautiful views of the harbour and ocean. Apparently some days you can see dolphins, but not today. We stopped at the Captain Cook memorial, then down to the waterfront cafe for a coffee and cake. Lovely spot beside the road.…
