So much to see and do in Litchfield NP. Our favourite was the less travelled Walkers Creek. A 1.5km one way walk stopping in at many beautiful plunge pools and mini waterfalls. Also excellent were the 'big' attractions - Wangi & Florence Falls along with...More

We hired a car and did a day trip to Litchfield National Park. This is easily doable in one day without feeling rushed. We stopped on the side of the road to look at some termite mounds, no need to go into the carpark to...More

Everywhere we went in Litchfield National Park was informative and enjoyable. Loved swimming in the falls lakes and learning about the termite mounds and lifestyle of early settlers.

Loads of places to walk and have a swim but the pick had to be Buley's Rock Holes - a set of cascades which was closer to where we were staying. The previous day we went to Wangi and they were beautiful also.

We just went there a month ago with a tiny 2WD. Almost all roads are sealed. A 4WD would be advisable if you want to get into the Park from the north along Cox Peninsula Rd; but if as 99% of visitors you come through... More
