Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beowa National Park is part of Ben Boyd National Park and it spans approximately 29 miles of rocky coastline near the whale watching town of Eden. There are two areas of the park. One has the beaches and the other cliffs. The Aboriginal communities asked to have the park renamed because of Scottish entrepreneur Benjamin Boyd's practice of 'blackbirding'. Blackbirding refers to kidnapping people from other areas of the world to force them to work as slaves. The lookouts we visited offered a view of the red rocks. Quite impressive.

Zero maintenance at Camp Sites, given the cost to free camp. Poorly layed out. Would not recommend. Better places in Australia to see.

On another visit to this NP you realise just how big it is! The Park is actually in two sections with the southern part starting from Green Cape up to Boyd's Tower on the southern point of Twofold Bay and recommences north of Eden at North Head and goes north to Haycock Point just south of Pambula Beach. With the light to light walk, Davidson Whaling Station, Green Cape Lighthouse, Boyd Tower, Quondolo, The Pinnacles & beaches & camping grounds aplenty. Slowly recovering from the horror bushfires but needs more visitors. Give it a try next time down south!!

Went to the Pinnacles and Barmouth Beach. Both definitely exceeded my expectations and are beautiful places to observe. The roads in the national park are unsealed, but any car will be able to traverse it.

We visited this park to see both the Ben Boyd Tower and the old whaling station. The park itself was badly affected by the 2020 bushfires but is starting to regenerate. The roads accessing the park sites are mainly unsealed but as is usual with NSW National Parks are very well maintained and worth paying the park access fee.

This was terrific. One of the best experiences we have had in all of Australia and we have just spent the last 35 days circumnavigating all of Australia and Tasmania. Our Aboriginal guide, Graham Moore was phenomenal. He is a wealth of knowledge which he can convey with clarity and expertise. He is a national treasure to his people.

Lots of trees and wildlife which I am hoping has escaped the fires.
So many coastal areas with beautiful empty beaches. Peaceful and calm

Ben Boyd NP covers both the northern & southern areas of Eden.In both sections you have beaches, BBQ & picnic areas and plenty of walking tracks. If really keen you can tackle the Light to Light 30 km trail which parallels the coastline. Plus camping grounds at Saltwater Creek and Bittangabee Bay.Visit historic buildings, Lighthouses & even the Ly-Ee-Moon Cemetery where the poor souls from the sinking are interred. This area is called "The Shipwreck Coast " for a reason ! Mostly dirt tracks but accessible by normal vehicles when not wet but some tracks are 4WD only.Prepare to spend a couple of days to get the best of the NP.
