This building belongs to the second half of the 19th century and its location in Passeig Verdaguer makes it emblematic of a glorious past, when the people of Lloret left everything behind to go and seek their fortune in the Americas. This house, a surviving example of the traces of the indianos −those who left for Cuba or the West Indies and came back once they had made their fortune.
The route is divided into five areas: Sons of the sea, Mediterranean, The doors to the ocean, Lloret after the sailing ships and Beyond the beach. The Maritime Museum is housed in what used to be Casa Garriga.
