I loved the Gem room. The NASA stuff is ok, not alot of it. Good way to spend the day. The view is amazing from the observation platforms. The signage could be better, it was definitely hard to find where we needed to go.

We recently discover PARI and PARI.edu. We were able to sit and watch in their portable planetarium that they take to schools. Seeing the Digital Satellites was wonderful. Taking the tour was so very interesting and enlightening. They have a lot to cover in the...More

Traveled into the beautiful mountains of Rosman and Balsam Grove NC to PARI for a very well planned and informative Open House. We toured the gorgeous cabins, had a great lunch in the new cafeteria, toured the grounds and gazed through high powered telescopes high...More

Our family traveled 2 days from the northeast specifically to experience the Ecilpse at PARI. As a parent, educator and hard working fundraiser, I can appreciate PARI obviously had to repurpose some areas to accommodate the multitude of visitors, displays and simultaneous presentations. Educators do...More

While visiting friends who live outside Brevard NC, they suggested going. We were excited for astronomy displays, kids learning, etc. Terrible experience. Tons of new construction while the main building is horrible. Esthetic they try to pull off is “historic” but the exhibits, ugly yellow...More

Website makes it look like there is a lot to see and do, but there isn’t. It may be worthwhile to go to an organized event but to just go on a self guided tour was disappointing. They have construction going on and the road...More

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, I've never felt more welcome at an event than I did at PARI. The volunteers and staff were so friendly and genuinely wanted everyone to enjoy the evening. They were extremely knowledgeable and approachable and went...More

We self-guided ourselves through the facility, and I think it was a nice little addition to our weekend getaway. Enjoyed the rock/mineral samples and the short hike up to their telescope. Worth the admissions fee!

Possibly the best part of PARI is its ability to stimulate your mind and imagination. During our self-guided tour we were able to explore the visitor center at our own pace. This is a working research facility, not a museum or tourist attraction but there...More
