Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Papafranka cave has a beautiful little sandy beach and is definitely worth visiting. Moreover it also has a sister-cave which you can only swim to, there is hole in the rock to the left side of the main cave which takes to it. Exploring the two caves is an amazing experience. However, during the summer months there may be a very strong northerly wind (known as "meltemi") which tends to create big waves makining difficault or even impossible to visit. Don't go there if the meltemi is blowing or you'll be dissappointed. I was also put off a bit by the amount of waste (cans, bottles etc.) lying about, but still worth visiting in a calm day.

This is a truly spectacular beach. A short but slightly tricky path carved into the rock takes you down to a small cove. Behind you is a cave, in front of you steep cliffs create a natural pool with an archway opening to the sea beyond. It's great for a swim, with the sea getting rougher beyond the archway. And there's also a small opening along the lefthand side wall that you can swim through. Even if you don't fancy climbing down the steep track to the beach, it's worth stopping here to admire the view and wonder around the top of the rocks.

What a shame, this is a very cool beach, and we were looking forward to seeing it. There were plastic bags and all sorts of garbage floating in the water and on the shore, so much we were unable to enjoy it. I wish the island could figure out a way to organize a beach clean-up crew.

Papafragas is beautiful. Many people here seemed like they had high expectations for it and we're a bit disappointed. That is because a lot of you are actually talking about and posting pictures of nearby Kapros beach which is a bit similar to Papafragas but Papafragas is much better. The first time I went, I was looking for it and saw a sign saying Papafragas studios so I figured I was near Papafragas Beach and then I found it. I was then told by a local that I was actually at Kapros and then he told me to keep driving until I get to Papafragas. Once I got there, it was gorgeous. Unfortunately, it seems like many of you made the same mistake that I did and weren't as fortunate as I was and ended up at Kapros Beach instead of Papafragas.

Papafragas caves and beaches is nowdays closed. We went there yesterday and you are not allowed to go down to the beach or caves for a swim or pictures anymore. You can take pictures from top of the stones/mountains.

Forget everything else, and lose yourself in a secluded piece of this planet. The ragged rocks overlooking this beach add to the experience. You have to go.

This beach was wonderful and beautiful but the water and the sand was floating with garbage, mostly plastic. We started cleaning the water and suddenly 5 people were helping us. There was too much micro plastic that we couldn’t collect, but we filled maybe 5 bags of rubbish. The sand was covered in tiny pieces of plastic and soft plastic from bags, which would be impossible to clean without proper equipment. Due to the rubbish I would not come back to this beach. I hope it will get cleaned properly for future guests.

After discussing for several minutes we decided to take a deep breath and go down from the small stairs. Not so difficult and the place definitely worth it.

We swam all the way around and investigated all of the caves. Lovely calm, blue sea. A kayaking group also visited the beach while were there, so that is an option as well

Wonderful attraction. Easy access from the main road from Adamas to Pollonia. Free parking. No facilities at all. Huge cliffs surrounding channels of water. The actual beach is extra small and is tucked in between two very high cliffs so there is very little sun. From there I observed people swimming into the deeper waters under the cliffs where colour of the water is amazing. Again. Great for photographs and enjoying mother nature.
