Unwelcoming lady at the reception, no bathrobes no slippers...just some medium sized towels. Bad food and not cheap at all. Good nice clean warm pools, amazing sauna land and not to forget the underwater soundpool with warm salty water. Bring towels, bathrobes, slippers snacks and water. Overall not bad but it could be better, it doesn't feel cosy, it needs an update.

Liked the baths and the settings.
However they let in a whole schoolclass, that behaved poorly in the pool, with no respect for other guest. And also very poor hygiejne as the skipped shower before going into the pools. That totally spoiled our experience.

We must confess our prior ignorance of how the Germans (in this area, anyway) like to take saunas, and that is... without clothes. I don't want to be puerile about it, so I will just say that it came as a bit of a surprise, and was a bit too much for our delicate British sensitivities, so we can't review the sauna for you.

However, the rest of it was great. Plenty of varied pools, including a very refreshing outdoor heated pool. There was a good range of ages, all the way from extremely senior citizens down to babies and toddlers, and the facilities were very classy and clean. The price for a two-hour ticket was €15, which is OK if you get to use all the facilities (we didn't have time for the sensory rooms and treatments which they also offer there), and there's also a comfortable bar/restaurant there in case you want a drink or a bit to eat.

A nice way to spend a few hours in Bad Schandau. It might be even more rewarding if you've just had a cycle, run or canoe down the river Elbe!

Interesting option for a little relaxation after a few days on the mountains,
but a bit expensive - 15E per person for two hours,
Ticket includes admission to the swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool and various saunas.

A nice addition is The Temple of Water and Sound
- brine water pool and music with over and under the water,
and the dome 360 ° with video projections by the pool.
Chillout Room :)

My main impression was that €15 EUROS (plus €3 for a towel) was really expensive for 2 hours, for what was here. First you enter, using a coin, which you then insert into a wrist band which you use to open a locker to store your things, then you try and find an empty changing cabin. Men, women, kids, all mixed up and the cabin doors open both sides and don't lock... then you go through to men or women's sides, I was surprised by the unhygienic and rather grotty floors to the loos, all soaked and covered in hairs which already put me off. I was also disappointed by the noise of so many children, tried several of the pools, inside and out, mostly being taken over by kids. Eventually decided to go in the "light and sound" and was really disappointed, also shocked to see a lady with a baby and no nappy in the water.
There was a kind of 60's psychedelic projection on the roof, it was dark, very salty water presumably to help floating, some boring music and kids again, so not relaxing!
Then went through to the FKK area which had the first sign in English ie take off your clothes past here!! as its the nudist section - there are various saunas, sweat/steam/herbal bath areas, a cold pool, various places to sit. As there were less kids racing around it was certainly more tranquil, but you need to be ready for the communal nudity and the fact the men outnumber the women easily by 2/1, or at least they did on our visit.
The full moon opening (till 1am) might have been more fun, unfortunately missed that.
Perhaps I missed something, I kept wondering what all the hype was about?

I really felt like I was in Europe here. Part of the spa (sauna area) was no bathing suits which I'm sure is common in Europe but for this American girl the experience of being nude amongst strangers of all ages, sexes and body types was for healthy for me mentally. I got over my body issues really quick and felt truly at peace. It is NOT a sexual environment AT ALL and i think in the US we too often equate nudity with sexuality but here that was not the case. A great relaxing spa (pools, sauna, steam room, heated stone beds) and a good mental check in as well.

I was with my daughter here. She can swim so she had something to do end enjoy. For small kids is a little bit boring, you don't have a lot of options. For adults ist quite, relaxing, spacey and with a view. You have access to all their offers ( not massage) and this is a great thing if you use the sauna( I don't, so that was that ). The food impressed me because everywhere you go to places like this, you have the "regular" fast-food thing, which I dislike. Here you have pasta, baguette, salad and potatoes. The Ice-Coffee was also very good. All in all, with children could be not the top of the world, but as a couple or with friends, is worth it.

Do recommend to visit salt grotto. Lovely colour with music underwater. Very good sauna world area. But the outside pool has cold water, in spite it should be warm to keep you watm in cold weather. Like in outside pool in Zurich, for example.
Do not recomend to visit cafe. Their English is very poor, veeeery poor, and they have only two set of salt/pepper/vinegar/oil set for whole cafe. Next time I will bring such set from my home and make a present to this poor cafe. Honestly!!!

Clean & modern. There is a whirl 'donat' pool which is fun also for kids. outdoor pool with beautiful views. Our highlight: quiet dark salt pool, with underwater music, and shapes projected on the ceiling. At 18:00 it was quiet, and we've got an extra hour stay.
