Lake Eibsee is a beautiful lake at the bottom of Zugspitze. There is a nice restaurant on the water along with the Eibsee hotel. It is a beautiful lake with a nice walking/bike path that goes around the whole lake. So many beautiful different views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

This is a great place to visit. Parking lot is on the main road to the lake. Bathrooms are located in the lower level of the hotel, we used even though we weren't staying there. The trail only has 1 access point, at the hotel, but I would recommend walking to almost the other side of the lake. This is... More

Boat tour on the lake will give the chance to capture some beautiful views of mountains. Some quiet time on the lake makes perfect sense.

Beautiful lake but best to see by boat takes 40 minutes around the lake, to busy during hot times, as many people walking and on Bicycles, you have a guided tour, and see many people who swam over to the little islands, you can also hire a Pedlo, a peddle boat, very good facilities, the cafe there had fresh smoked... All too busy, too hot (and the ice cream stall was closed!) too many people and bikes to dodge as we walked around the Lake. Nowhere to sit down as the sides were steep and all seats were occupied. We could not wait to return to our quiet Guest House and to more tranquil walks in the hills. Might be... More

There is a well maintained walking road around the lake. It is 7 km with possibility to de-tour or sweem. Plenty of nice views on mountains including Zugspitze.
