The temple complex is beautiful, statue of Guan Yin looks realy powerful, worth coming and climbing all the ladders. View from the statue is realy nice too and inside is interesting as well. Pool on the top has lots of koi. There is some shops around may find something:) And information panels has english translation:)

Took the family to Xiqiao mountain Forest Park to see the giant statue at the top of the mountain. The entire park is beautiful and nicely maintained. All areas were clean, including the restrooms (with western toilets!). There is also a cave to explore here, but we ran out of time. We will definitely return - well worth the 70 kuai entrance fee. Recommend going in spring or autumn - perfect cool weather and no Mosquitos.

The Baofeng temple on Mt. Xiqiao, Foshan is interesting and set amongst other buildings.

It’s a nice walk through the temple and surrounding grounds to Guanyin statue at the summit of Mount Xiqiao.

The Nanhai Kwan Yin Statue sits atop of the Daxian Peak more than 290 meters above sea level.

The sifang bamboo section of the park was lovely, seeing square bamboo!

The entry price is 25 RMB per person and if you don’t want to walk you can arrange to ride in a motor cart, hop on hop off for 20 RMB per person.

Allow 3 hours to see whole park!

Recommend a tour or travel by car.

I loved my visit to Xiqiao Mountain. I wish I could help with letting others know if it was an easy find or best way to get there, etc. but my friends drive me. It’s quite the walk to get from parking to the base of the stairs and to the top of the stairs there are around 120 stairs outside.
It’s such a peaceful area, the view if you can go on a clear days seems to be quite the view looking out at Foshan. The temple is beautiful inside and outside, so much detail on the walls on the outside. If you enter the temple, there’s 3 floors each floor has something new to look at. Such a wonderful little gem that not really known about in Southern China. Also bring a small snack along with you, there not many options for food or snacks in the area and it will take sometime to look around and see it all. ❤️
