Beautiful. Beatific. Calm.

It's like going back in time to the days of Walden Pond. Ponder the wonders while paddling your kayak. Get lost in the inlets and let your troubles float away.

Very little of this lake is available for development so you end up with a spectacular mountain lake that is so pristine. The water is so clear. The mountains & forest surrounding it gorgeous. Great place or boating, fishing, paddling or just floating along. There is a location with a Sandy beach great for the kids. Boat ramps are numerous.... More

During a camping trip in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest we took several side trips. Santeetlah Lake was nearby, so we drove over and took a look and walked around it. Very lovely, surrounded by mountains.

This is a beautiful drive. When we were here a couple of weeks ago the water level was very low. This is a beautiful part of the state and we make this drive from Chattanooga a couple of times a year.

Rent a boat to see the lake. Deyton Boat Rentals. Easy access and rates are reasonable. You can rent for 2-4-8 hrs. They will work with you. They gave a fleet of pontoon boats.

Stayed on the shore of this lake, watched the mist rise off in the mornings! Peace and quiet at its best!

First time we have stayed on the lake. It is gorgeous & so quiet! For a motorcycle Mecca, there is no noise whatsoever. So relaxing!

We camped at the campground here, nice and the showers were good. Our campsite was great, overlooking the lake. Not many people, so it was quiet. Beautiful setting....we would come here again.

Lovely, picturesque...deserted. It could have been the side of the lake we were on, or maybe because it was the middle of the week. We had the place to ourselves! Fishing but no catching...

WE tried to call and get a reservation but no phone call back. We actually drove to the marina on Monday 8/228/16 to find it was closed.. No sign to indicate closed. I called a week prior to my vacation starting and no one mentioned it would be closed... Looks like a beautiful lake and I hate we missed it.... More
