Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Took the Bites of Boylan Heights tour with Jacquelyn and it was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable about the history of Raleigh and I learned so much, while tasting some delicious food along the way. After trying five different LARGE samples of food, I was plenty full. I lived downtown Raleigh five years ago, so it was fun to see how this neighborhood has developed since then. Those boozy slushies at Sam Jones BBQ were on POINT. This joint wasn’t here when I lived downtown, so it was a nice addition to the neighborhood. Also loved the tasting at the local chocolate shop, Videri, which has been around forever. Can’t wait to come back again to visit and take another food tour with Triangle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Historic Oakwood Neighborhood Food Tour tour with Triangle Food Tours. We live local and had friends visit and thought it would be a fun activity, and I'm pleased to say that we were - it was a big hit! We visited 5 local food places/restaurants and had generous portions for a food tasting tour. Jacqueline was engaging and super informative of the area. Having experienced food tours from Cairo and Paris, to Los Angeles and now Raleigh, I would not hesitating recommending this tour to others.

Such an amazing experience! We booked Triangle Food Tours for our company holiday party and everyone LOVED this unique and fun idea for us to mingle, eat, and spend time together. It was great because we moved around and could naturally chat and sit with different people at each location. We even learned some history about our hometown city from our very knowledgeable guide, Jacquelyn. Even though I go out a lot, I still got to eat at some unique restaurants I had never been to before. Perfect afternoon!!! So glad we chose Triangle Food Tours.

My favorite parts were getting to know people in the group and visiting the small restaurants that were all new to us.

Restaurant choices, food and tour guide were great! However, I have a few suggestions concerning the tour itself. First off, the Tour company emailed me the incorrect meeting location. meeting location. They sent us to a location that was to be their future meeting place, beginning in September. I don’t understand, since my tour was in August why would they even mention where they plan to meet in September. Also, I know the tour is on a time clock, but I would like to suggest, on the final leg of the walking tour (all uphill), if there could be a couple of pauses (so we could catch our breath). Maybe the guide could throw in a few tips or historic facts about Raleigh while we rest a bit before continuing the climb. All in all, this was a very nice food tour and a great chance to walk around Raleigh and see and learn some historical facts.

The Historic Oakwood Neighborhood Food Tour was nothing short of fantastic. For over three hours we walked, tasted, sipped, and listened to our guide, Sarah, describe the neighborhood and the historic places we passed along the way. Sarah was fully informed about the history of Raleigh including names and dates of important events of the past. We had such a wonderful variety of restaurants, food, and drink. Each place we visited was prepared for our arrival. Our group meshed well and we had fun chatting along the way. I've done other food tours in Florida and VA but this one was absolutely the best of all. I can't wait to do another food tour with Triangle Food Tours!

The Historic Oakwood Neighborhood Food Tour was an excellent afternoon of new food, facts, and friends! It was great to meet fellow individuals who were either visiting the area or relatively new to Raleigh. Our tour guide, Jacquelyn was informative, friendly, and fun and provided lots of great history about Raleigh and the local neighborhood. All of the food was delicious and the servings were quite large. We definitely were full when leaving and next time recommend showing up quite hungry in order to have enough room for all of the great eats! Highly recommend and will check out another tour in the future.

Out tour guide Jacqueline, was amazing. Super informative, finny and engaging and created a great experience for all tour members from age 14 to 75! We learned a ton, had fun, and had some excellent food and beverage experiences. I highly recommend TFT for all groups, family, professional bonding, especially during the Holidays!
