I did not see any vegetables. The market place was empty. A big disappointment! An ice cream shop was the only thing I saw worthwhile.

Filled with fresh produce , and amazing fruits and vegetables, this is a terrific place to visit and shop. Remember to bring a cooler or cool bag for items in the heat.

After breakfast a stroll through the market is fun and art pace right next door. Market didn't really impress me with much to offer.

This is a very small but quaint neighborhood just a few blocks east of Fayetteville Street. It is an historic area complete with cobblestone streets, quaint stores and plenty of spots to grab a meal or drink (Big Ed's is a perfect spot for breakfast)....More

Not a whole lot there. Had lunch at Vics. Great Italian place. Great prices and lots of food. A few stores and a few places to eat. Its was nice to walk on the cobblestone.

This isn't one of those 'destination' types of places, but it does have some historic value. The narrow cobblestone streets are worth the visit, but not if one has to go out of one's way. If you are in the neighborhood, though, do stop through.

Not a fan of this part of the city. Market was ok. They need to revitalize this area to make it more inviting.

Expected a fun Market vibe, nothing was open. Found good restaurants but no shopping, very disappointed

After visiting the state capitol we strolled to City Market thinking we'd find lunch and some fun shopping. We didn't figure out what the hype was about this place. Maybe because we visited on Veteran's Day and everything was closed?
