It’s a nice hike and the waterfall is beautiful. I do not feel it’s appropriate for small children. There are lots of rocks and roots to trip on. When we went it happened to be very muddy and my 6 year old actually slid down...More

This is a great, easy, short hike from a parking area off 276, not far from Looking Glass falls and Sliding Rock. Maybe 1.5 hours round trip and play. It's great for kids and dogs. You can stand behind and under the falls as it...More

Less popular than other waterfalls in the area, Moore Cove Falls is worth the 1.5 mile hike round trip. The trail is well maintained and wide so you'll have no trouble finding your way. There are lots of roots and rocks, but if you watch...More

Nice waterfall (bridle veil type). The path takes 1.2 miles and it is well maintained. Good with young children. At the waterfall it is possible to walk around but it is not recommended without experience and technical shoes.

Clear parking & signage along road. Sign indicated 0.7 Miles to falls. Clear path. Labeled Easy. But, still need to pay attention. (Mud, roots, some boardwalks) We hiked briskly and got there in 16 minutes. Our family had 10 magical minutes to ourselves. Posing behind...More

This is a pleasant, easy hike to a small waterfall. You can walk right down to the waterfall. When I was there, there weren't too many people present, which is nice. Some of the other falls in the area were PACKED and it really ruined...More

Kids and dogs will easily be able to handle the 20 minute hike. We say dozens of single-aged kids along the trail. The falls themselves are fairly small, but cool to see given how little you need to invest personally getting there.

About an hour and a half round trip. Cool all in the woods and waterfalls you can walk under with good shoes on.

Enjoyed the hike to see the Moore Cove Falls. Saw people of all ages in the trail. It is not handicap accessible. Trail had some up and downs and was muddy during our visit due to recent rains. Worth a visit!
