We ve visited the Looking Glass Falls twice - once in Summer last year and once this fall (2017). This is one of the easiest roadside waterfalls to get to and a pretty one too. The waterfall is 60 ft high. When we visited last...More

After a lovely drive through the Pisgah Forest, you can park on the street and take a short walk up the sidewalk to discover a gorgeous 60' waterfall worthy of lots of photos. If you want to get closer, take the staircase down to the...More

Looking Glass Falls is beautiful! It’s very easy to access right beside the road. You can view it from the road or walk to the bottom to view it. Not very far out of town worth the drive!!!

Since we are not really hikers, and we did want to find waterfalls to photograph, this was a great find for us. Lots of roadside parking, and an observation deck in case you don't want to climb down the dozens of steps to the bottom...More

These are amazing to watch, 60 feet of waterfalls, and free and easy parking on the side of the road. No charge and a joy to watch for all family members.

Great 60 foot waterfall along US-276 about 9 miles from Brevard, NC. It's also close to Sliding Rock. In the fall the best time to visit is late morning to mid-afternoon to get the sun shining on the falls. Short walk to the overlook and...More

Wow what a sight to enjoy even in the rain. We are staying in Bervard, NC close to our rental home. Easy to get too and not along hike.

It is a beautiful roadside waterfall. It can be viewed from road or you can go down stairs for a closer look. Be sure to stop for a look. This was probably my favorite stop in the 276

This is an easy fall to see on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Nice and big with some great, but slippery rocks to climb on for great photos. There’s not a parking lot, you park on the street...so you may have to walk a ways, depending...More

I wouldn't recommend going at night. I think it's closed after a certain time. You could always find a nice stream or river off of a trail near the falls. As for the time of day, I'm not sure

Actually several picnic areas close by with picnic tables, but lots of folks just head down to the river at the falls and eat there, but here are NO tables there. It can be a zoo down there if it is a busy (e.g., Memorial... More
