This is not a hike for the out of shape! It is very doable and so worth it but it is not an easy stroll!

Made this hike on a beautiful cool early November morning. It is 6.5 miles round trip with a steep climb up and a steep incline down. You should be fit to attemp this hike Looking glass rock is a great picnic spot with amazing views esp in the fall. Watch your footing it can be slippery.

An A+ guiding day for Travis and FMG, as he put me on some relatively friendly slabs, while I continue to recover from a serious illness.

Hiked Looking Glass Rock this week with my 12 and 14 year old. Pretty easy hike up to the summit. Views at the top are breath taking. We did the whole hike including stops for pictures and snacks in 2:45.

This is worth a quick stop if you are driving by. You won't likely see why it is called looking glass, but it's a beautiful view nonetheless. The photo on the display is actually from the opposite side of the rock, so the main rock wall, that shines when wet or iced over, isn't visible from the road.

We climbed the south face as part of our Rock Climbing 101 class with Joel of Fox Mountain Guides. I had a great time & Joel's instruction gave me the confidence to keep going when I wanted to give up on Bloody Crack! I plant on going back to learn more from Joel & Fox Mountain Guides. Beckie

This place is not for the weak at heart Looking Glass is a 3,969 foot granite rock after a strenuous hike to the summit the views are impressive you can access the trail head from forest service rd 475 but the work it takes to get to the top is well worth it

The whole walk up is just absolutely beautiful amidst the tall trees creating a beautiful canopy of coolness on a warm day, the sun filters through the dense foliage leaving pretty designs on the forest floor. The path is quite easy to climb for about 2 miles it is only the last mile that it becomes a little challenging, but... More
