Best Golf course at Pinehurst Resort

If I could be a member at just one course in Pinehurst this would be it. No homes or other buildings on the course. Just a great test of golf.

Great track and nice condition, greens were perfect. Some blind shots where you need to look through view finder is goofy. Cement steps leading up from cart area to clubhouse tacky.

Just finished playing #8 and will say it is one of the most beautiful inland courses I've played. Not visually stunning in the style of Pebble Beach, Brandon Dunes or Kiawah's Ocean Course but this course is carved out of woodlands and is expertly manicured. The greens are firm and often undulating. The staff I spoke to was unanimous in... More

This is by far the worst restaurant for lunch in the world ... Waited for over a hr to get my order... The golf course is great but don't waste your money eating here... Burgers bad and all the rest not good... Service is bad too.. Only two waiters for the whole place... Pro shop guys are too important to... More

A great mix of elements at this track. It's classic Fazio in the way they blend the natural environment into the routing. He also incorporates some classic Pinehurst elements such as waste bunkers and the infamous turtleback Ross greens. Tough but not unfair (except the par 5 6th - that hole is unfair).

Played Pinehurst number 8 during a golf vacation at the resort. These may be the nicest greens I have ever played on. The course has the challenging elevated greens with false fronts, backs and sides, and the condition of the greens was remarkable. As with all the Pinehurst facilities, the staff are excellent, all very friendly and helpful. Played in... More

Playing Pinehurst #8 is a great day. Even if your score is challenged, you will keep saying what a great course this is. I am a fan of Tom Fazio courses. Remember you can just come here for lunch too and sit on the patio.

Interesting and a little more hilly. Set in its own grounds with a clubhouse and all the facilities of a standalone club. We enjoyed playing this one the most of all.

#8 at Pinehurst is absolutely gorgeous. Greens have a lot of slope but are still easy to play. Proshop and restaurant are a must visit.

Hidden on a gorgeous piece of Sandhills landscape Course #8 is not to be missed. Every hole is unique, challenging and picturesque. As usual, the staff is cordial and helpful. This course will provide a terrific Pinehurst memory.
