Gone.

Sadly, the Carolina is no longer open. They packed up and closed. Even the clubhouse is gone. Nice challenging course while it lasted.

The 'complaint' is that it had to end. As a golfer staying and playing at Pinehurst is a must! I played ... number two, this is historic and a must play! Number four has more bunkers than I have seen in my life and I think I was in them all! Number 8 is a tribute to Donald Ross by... More

Closed. Owner had gone bankrupt. I feel bad for people that built homes on this golf course. Their property has reduced in value and will be difficult if not impossible to sell. Originally this was a beautiful course designed by Arnold Palmer.

This is a very good layout. Very playable, but it will test you. Views throughout the course are worth seeing. Great value. Good for all handicaps.

What a great course - and we had it to ourselves! This course in unlike the others in Pinehurst - almost feels like a mountain course. This is a top 3 for our group!

We got a good deal to play here from Golfnow.com. It is an OK course but definitely one that you need to play more than once to know where to hit the ball. There were some blind holes, holes where we hit too much club and got into trouble because we didn't know trouble was there. Greens were in good... More

Needs a little TLC, course has a championship layout just needs a little work. Price was right, good place to get rid of the winter layoff rust.

My son and I played last spring and found the course to be a fun track with elevation change, and the need to work the ball a little balanced against being reachable for the old man in regs consistently and challenging the young buck to try for home run shots on shortish par fours and fives (shortish for him). We... More

This was the 3rd course of our package. The club house is a temporary construction trailer. My husband liked the course, I personally was not impressed. He felt the greens were well kept for the winter. I felt the course lacked the TLC it needs. Maybe once the development of the area picks back up, so will the course. Bring... More
