The CATS Golf Course Reviews

Paid full fare for Panthers Run, a course that used to be worth that premium. Unfortunately from nearly start to finish a poor experience now. The men who handled our bags to the carts were downright unwelcoming, and provided a thoroughly confusing experience with a surly attitude. Even calling in to reserve a time was less than pleasant with the... More

I was so looking forward to our round at Ocean Ridge Plantation and so much so that we were planning on 36 holes via Tigers Eye and Leopards Chase. Well Hurricane Matthew changed those plans so we only were able to play Leopards Chase. We arrived to see an updated trailer for a clubhouse which was astounding considering the drive... More

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate anyone taking the time to give us constructive information we can use to improve our operation! You certainly had the misfortune of catching us at a difficult time. Preparation for Hurricane Matthew caused us to divert our resources to protecting the courses as best as possible and likely contributed to some of... More

My wife and I moved into Ocean Ridge Plantation this summer and love everything about living here except the golf courses. There are four courses all named after Big Cats. On Tiger's Eye the greens and fairways were totally burnt out with dirt patches through out the greens. On Lion's Paw and Panther's Run the greens were better but the... More

The ownership, management and staff of Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf are always interested in constructive feedback and we appreciate anyone who takes the time to make us aware of their particular experiences during their visit. As this reviewer indicated, weather conditions have been brutal this summer and this certainly takes a toll on golf course conditions in our area, particularly... More

Nicely maintained courses; friendly staff; quality snack/beverage options at the turn. Three course package was well worth the price.

Played all 4 courses. The weather this spring prevented the rough to grow so any shot off the fairway was not a bad lie. Lion's Paw was the 3 star course of the 4 available. The greens were overrun by weeds and made putting difficult. The other 3 courses were in good shape and would have been better if the... More

8 of us played for different courses here over 4 days. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, the range below average, the course layout interesting, and the greens on 3 of the 4 courses were bad. We played the newest course on the last day and that course was very enjoyable but the only one we would all come... More

Have been going to the MB area for over 20 years and this was the first trip that we played the "Cats". All courses were in very good shape and a great test (especially Leopards) The package was a tremendous value and as a group we unanimously agreed that all the courses were well worth playing with or without a... Horrible experience with the staff behind the desk at Lions Paw. Man was rude and treated our group as if we were 25 handicap hackers. Forced us to go off package and play panthers run rather than tigers eye citing the greens at TE were bad. While I can appreciated the effort, the greens at TE could not have been... More

Nice (not as nice as Tigers Eye), but we enjoyed the course on a very very hot day. Course layout was nice, plenty of bunkers, water hazards, nice fairways and decent greens. I remember their practice putting green was immaculate..... I had high hopes the course would be the same - it was not. I know many local courses suffered... More

Our foursome booked a four day golf trip at Ocean Ridge Plantation In Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. We also stayed at their fabulous on site cottages. Our trip was scheduled for early February 2015. It was clearly understood by our entire foursome that the early February weather could be sketchy and that their policy (due to demand) was no rescheduling... More
