We came across Jennette's pier by accident actually. We had just arrived in the OBX and were looking for somewhere to go. The pier is beautiful. Very open, cost about $4 a person to walk on but receipt is good all day for reentry. They have a nice fish tank inside & a big gift shop. We spent a nice... More

We had lunch on the pier. Eating fish tacos on a pier over the sea is hard to beat. Good food, good beer.

One of the nicest piers ever visited. Has a nice gift shop and aquarium. Lots of educational things for kids to participate in. Fishing was nice and a very relaxing place. The only drawback I had was the pier closed at midnight and would have liked to have fished longer

So we are from the Midwest. Our experiences with huge bodies of water are limited to visiting the Gulf and Great Lakes. The beach at Jeanette's Pier has a lifeguard stand as well as roving lifeguards (on ATVs) which made me feel better about my children going into the water. Also, the water is not super deep. Mind you, the... More

My husband and I would get up each morning and walk from our motel to the pier and loved walking out there ... $2 per person to walk on the pier, but really cool to see all the people fishing and they have all kinds of guides that tell you about the local fish they catch ... Friendly staff and... More

My family and I have enjoyed Jennette's pier since the early 70's and were thrilled when the new pier opened its doors to the public! The facility is pristine, the staff are friendly and knowledgable and it is a pleasure to visit, whether fishing or just strolling. Many programs and services are offered for vacationers and locals alike, from day... More

My family and I aren't big into fishing, but this was still a cool activity that was a nice break from lounging on the beach. The pier is very modern and there is a nice lobby area as you first enter with a small aquarium, an area with info about the wind turbines, an area to rent and purchase fishing... More

We didn't fish, although several did - but we walked out for fun. We saw approx. 25 dolphins - all for the cost of $4! We paid $ 58 for a dolphin cruise - and only saw 2..........LOL! It was a neat place and we would definitely go back!

I have been numerous times since the pier has reopened. My main complaint is the large aquarium seems to be out of service more often than not. Other than that, it's a great place to visit. The gift shop is overly expensive but has quality products, the pier is in great shape, and the staff has always been friendly. Be... More
