Jennettes is the best pier in OBX. New, modern and plenty of parking. Very nice bath house. Beautiful upstairs houses event space, perfect for weddings, overlooking the ocean. Beach gets really crowded though in the summer. Lifeguard stand is reassuring when you have kids along

Jeanette's Pier is absolutely fantastic place for a days beach outing. You can go on the pier. You can park your family next to the pier. Ice cream, food and shopping inside the pier.

This is one of my favorite piers. It is always clean and the staff is very friendly. Kool little gift shop and aquarium inside. I would fish off this pier but just a walk out is. Dry nice for families.

Little kids enjoy the wind and seeing all the fishermen. It's reasonably safe to walk around here, and the gift shop gives you a nice respite from the wind and sun.

Rode to the beach for a nice winter day trip. Jeannette's Pier is always a must stop kinda place. Walk on fee is $2.00 per person. It is a little cool and the wind is always blowing, but there are no crowds in December. We spent about 45 minutes on the pier watching bottle nose dolphins swimming. It's a great... More

The Outer Banks is blessed with several fishing piers open to the public and if you’re interested in fishing you’ll probably get to know the one closest to where you’re staying. But if you’re taking a driving tour of the upper banks and want to take a look at just one of them, Jennette’s is the one to pick. It’s... More

We visited the pier after my wife read some reviews – my assessment? Unless you are pressed to find other things to do in OBX, I would pass. As you enter the pier, there are several aquariums/tanks highlighting the ecosystem under the pier. From the entrance area, you can pay a few dollars to walk down the pier. If you... More

They charge a small fee to go out on the pier but the scenery and the ocean view is worth the small fee. They also have a nice gift shop and small aquarium.

Rick and Ken were great instructors and cooks. We learned a lot about pier and surf fishing and had a blast catching puffers, spot, mullet, and whiting. The best part was eating our catch; who knew puffer tasted so good.

There are five major things that you can do with the aquarium membership, three of them are the aquariums along the coast from the one on Roanoke Island, we visited this one the day before, to the one near Wilmington, NC. The other two are the NC Zoo and Jeannette's Pier. So far we've happened to be lucky enough to... More
